Torque? What were you smoking besides rubber fumes (Ahhhh, the smell when American muscle meats dry asphalt)????
2000 Ford 6.8l V-10, 310 horsepower at 4,250 rpm and 425 lb-ft of torque at 3,250 rpm

Vs

2000 5.9 Cummins I6, Manual Transmission horsepower: 235 hp at 2,700 rpm torque: 460 lb-ft at 1,600 rpm



Sad thing is I remember the '87 Ford Crew Cab 350 Dually we had when I was in my late teens could have probably out towed both of them going up a hill with heavy trailer. It was putting out about the same numbers as the Cummins witha slightly higher RPM for max torque.

It had massive torque compared to any truck I had before it.

I got rid of it because it was WAY more truck than I needed.

The heaviest thing I ever towed with it was around 6K and it towed that effortlessly.

I dug around a bit and here is the boat right before putting it in the water, and my tires before $50 of rubber was removed.

Uphills are easy, keep the clutch in, in 1st gear, and switch to the gas from the break really fast, and rev it to at least 3k. Guaranteed to never stall

If you "switch to the gas from the break really fast", you'll break something at 3K!
