New ujoints on the front shaft. And that g^%%<%#d double Cardin joint!!

Never messed with one of those before. What a joy!!

Parts store gave me the wrong ujoints first. Another trip back to town!!

Anyhow done now after “several” hours.

How does the ball get greased? I packed it good upon reassembly. Looks like maybe a grease fitting was there, but ground smooth now for some reason.

Codfish

Installed a Barnes 4x4 bolt on skid plate.

In order to do that I had to remove a set of MML blocks and installed a set of adjustable control arms.

The CAs are generic and the cheapest I could find, BUT they are solid and have OE style rubber bushings.

I also had to trim my spring perches so the shocks would clear.

She sits with 16” of clearance from floor to skid plate now.

Not to but with🤷‍♂️

Drove “Up North “ for my annual trout opener fishing trip. I take the loooong way up and back through the Huron National Forest.
Last year and this the weather hasn’t been kind to northern Michigan, lots of trees down and flooding. Had to do some lumber jack shit , sometimes only to have to double back due to way too many downed trees. These were two I got all the way through. The second one was a spring loaded bastard… especially without cell service.

Had a little fun with ChatGTP (that shit is crazy realistic!)did a little fishing. Didn’t catch anything due to, I suppose, the flooding washing food into the river 🤷‍♂️ Had a great time regardless.

Drove BB a little over 400 miles on a shakedown run today. Ran great and since I installed the "high flow exhaust" mileage has improved.......... well until I removed the 1/2 door uppers for the last 175 miles......... drove to Savannah Ga. For my youngest sons wedding tomorrow.

So I drove over to Tybee Island, while I prefer the Gulf of America, the Atlantic will have to do this time.
