What did you do to your TJ today?

I never went that route, but back in 05 or so I met someone with one of them in Moab. They liked it alot.

Tuning was pretty limited back then. Now you could tune it much better.

So the rolling chassis came with a programmed ECM to mate with the Avenger but, the ‘02 tub and PCM got locked out when we tried to mate them. Installed ‘02 ECM and are still locked out.
Gonna try to reset the PCM with a “drain” method but this may require a phone call to Mark @Wranglerfix
We will see.

I’ve decided I’m actually going to try to change the blend door actuator myself.

Does anyone know which part I should be getting for a 2002 Sahara? I googled it and two different shaped ones pop up. So wasn’t sure which to get.

Which one is it?

Thanks! So add about two hours to that for me to do it? 🤣 and I’m assuming a bunch of curse words 🫣

lol. No bolts on this one. Just make sure you have your temp and fans all off since the actuator is “clocked” you need to make sure it all is aligned when you install it.

And in all seriousness, if it takes more than 15min ask for help because then you’v got something else going on.

Started changing the t-stat in my 97. Promptly dropped the small housing bolt, but it didn't hit the ground. Haven't found it yet. Then spend the next 90 minutes scraping the gasket off the housing. 95% stayed on the housing, so I only have a little bit of work to do on the block side.

And then who knows how long looking for that bolt. In the interest of time, does anyone know the length & pitch of the short t-stat housing bolt?

Got her buttoned up, and took her on a short test drive.

Front body mount puck helps hold the radiator skid. When I first installed said skid, there was rust inside this thing. Taking it off again to R&R the skid, showed more rust. I still don't know the where/why/how of the water getting into the puck originally, but its pretty obvious that water can get into it now over the top of the skid. So I drilled drain holes in the thing, rust reformed it, and put it back on! I think I need to check the rest of them...

Nothing blew up, broke, or leaked! At least, not yet. Goes in for an alignment tomorrow. Brakes seem to work fine, although the pedal seems slightly soft, so I may do a bit more bleeding.

The locker definitely unlocks on turns, but I need to do some more testing to observe it in its locked state. All I have ready access to is a flat dirt road - any suggestions for testing would be appreciated...

Not much today but I unboxed the RockJock springs. As per the Currie Spring Conversation the details on the tag go against what the Website claims.
Took a free standing measurement and they are spot on 22” and not 22.6”
I suppose that will still work but did expect perfection from RockJock. Being as the JKS springs unseat on the regular I suppose that extra .6” would keep them happy. Probably just run it and see. 🤷‍♂️
