This generates a mental image that I did NOT need...
Growing up in the country, we knew the location of every hose bib in the neighborhood - some of them were pretty far away from houses. We also knew to ALWAYS turn the thing off fully, we were friends with the various land owners and wanted to stay on their good side because that's where we played!
All joking aside, I just can NOT stand plastic frames. I had to wear them in grammar school, fucking Buddy Holly glasses. As coincidence would have it, I was just in the optometrist's office 2 days ago, it was nice to see more "wires" than were there 2 years ago when I bought my current pair - there was exactly ONE style of men's glasses frames that weren't plastic. Fortunately, they were exactly what I wanted - but this time they actually had choices.
I figured you'd use a pitcher pump.

Plus we knew to let the water run for a moment before drinking to ensure the lizards and such got flushed out.
