And if you want a new head look at Clearwater Heads out of Florida.

450ish miles driven. Got 15.5, 15.4 and 16 mpg on fuel with the new mods. 33s, 4.56.
Quite a coincidence on your second mileage number there, GG. I get 15.4 mptg…

That's awesome with your setup.
I'm quite happy considering I'm running 10 gallons extra fuel + 64lbs of water + beer + 36lb Yeti and all the backcountry gear for the Maze over 5 Colorado and Utah mountain passes today. I'm running 1.25" down from normal on my rear springs today.
My last 2 runs from Moab to Home netted 14.7mpg. Camaro Electric Fan + Edelbrock head + extra compression worked great. I'd think without all the extra weight, I'd probably have seen 16.5mpg today.
While short of stroker performance, I was able to stay in 5th in the NV3550 up reasonable grades more than any previous jaunt through the mountains. 3rd kept pulling up to 5000rpm when I needed it to pass on Monarch Pass. I'm still running the stock cam and 1.7 roller rockers.
In the Ford or the Jeep? Impressive!
Driving the Jeep or towing it with the Ford, I get 12 in either situation (sometimes better towing depending on the speed). Maybe those extra spark plugs do serve a purpose!
You boys are a little slow on the uptick this morning. Mptg was not a typo...![]()
With the prevalence of both typos and acronyms in today’s world it’s hard to decipher which is more annoying. I guess I’ll be the slow one.
Well, shoot. For once, I thought I got the joke others missed. Unfortunately for me, my interpretation was that t = ten.OK, OK - it was a bit of a stretch...
15.4 mptg - miles per two gallons.

I've had tanks wheelin' where I'm not far off from that...
