I don't believe in handouts. But I am willing to pay to have the benefit of not stepping over sick people dying in the street. Nothing in life is free. The market is better at handling some things. Other things need government regulation. Relying to heavily on either has been proven time and time again to be a mistake.
Funny thing. The people who are sick and dying in the streets are all in Democrat run hell holes. But your "relying on either..." statement is true enough - so let's see what dirt you can come up with on the Democrats. Neither is the best choice - they're both evil. Yes, I have voted democrat in the past, back when one of the Bushes was beating the Bible even more than is the usual. Vetted by Bob Jones U, which I consider a hotbed of utter evil. That doesn't mean I buy into the Left's crap any more than I do the Right's.
