GOOD CATCH !! I know the Buick V6 was a CJ option in the 1960s so maybe this goes back that far.
In 1965, Kaiser bought license to produce the Buick 225 cu in (3.7 L) V6 Dauntless engine, to offer the new 155 hp (116 kW) option on the CJ-5 and CJ-6
In 1970, AMC bought Willys Jeep, extended the hood/wheelbase and installed the 232" straight six.

I gotta get off this thread....I love family camping, the past 2 summers we took 10-14 day cross country camping trips but goodness I can’t invest in all that lol. We have a real big ground tent and a ton of gear that I plan on strapping down to the roof rack.....but goodness it would be nice to have a trailer with a tent built into it....gotta get outta here. LOL

We get to the point where the public is not allowed to leave a hard packed gravel road. We will out right ban ATVs, dirt bikes, chain saws period.
Forestry workers, loggers, equipment operators right now have to be out of the bush at 11am.... and have a 3 hour fire watch till 2pm. They can still load and transport logs from landing areas but no one "works" in the bush after 11am. Soon, there will be a total shut down of all forestry operations. And everyone is laid off til it rains.... or snows. Truck drivers too.
Locals around here understand the risks and do not travel, camp in the high fire season. Tourists unfortunately fail to even understand the signs everywhere ,,,,
and actually argue with the Fire Wardens.

During a total fire ban only CSA or ULC approved propane cooking appliances are allowed. However during extreme conditions even these are prohibited..... and if you are a smoker you will need a windproof ashtray, to butt your cigarette, shake off ashes, and place used matches. In extreme conditions the laws are indeed extreme. You have NO rights. Best to stay home.

Of course Fire Wardens have a radio and can call in a helicopter to douse any fire. If you are that ignorant, expect first the $1800.00 fine, then the $2800.00/hour helicopter charge, plus maybe punitive damages if that helicopter was diverted from operations supporting ground crews. And don't try crying about it over breakfast the next day, the locals are likely to lynch you.
