What did you do to your TJ today?

Haha! Well I got the door panel put back on over lunch but now I'm trying to figure out how to get that clip back on the window crank without pulling my hair out. That'll be a tonight project.

You can just put that clip in place on the windows crank before you mount it on the spline then just give it a little tap so that the clip seats itself into its little groove on the spline

Got the radio installed and set up. I also got the door panel back on after thinking I got rid of the rattle and squeek from that side. Well, it's still there [emoji35].

Can you take a wide photo? Is that white painted center cover on your dash?

No problem! It's actually silver but they picture did make it look white. This isn't much better unfortunately.

Fingers crossed my Brown Dog engine brackets and mounts will finally show up tomorrow so I sprayed down the bolts on the engine brackets and motor mounts with Kroil today to help loosen those puppies up.

I also got the transmission bolts out and while under there poked my finger up in the frame and found my cruise control vacuum canister was flopping around loose. I ended up taking the battery and tray out to get in and bolt it back on. While I was under the hood I replaced the air filter.

Man I'm enjoying working on this so far!

Storage is always an issue in the damn TJ.

I was strapping my boxes and compressor down in the back, along with a cooler and backpacks. Then on top of that I’d have to load in the bag with the soft upper doors and windows (never know in Florida when it will rain).

I always thought that there had to be a better way. Then while I was in Maine, I saw that my father had an Olympic products storage rack and it dawned on me that I could put the boxes and cooler on the rack, and slip the bag of doors and windows underneath it. Duh.

I went searching for the best price, and I don’t know how it happened but the stars aligned and I found a crazy Amazon deal.

I finally got around to start installing it last night. I removed the rear seatbelts, which will allow me to mount the rack very low, just above the fender wells. I can keep the braces that span the rollbar in all the time, and install the rack (just four bolts) when we go wheeling.

Looks like she's running a bit warm?
101 degrees outside. Just got off the freeway. That has been the norm for her.

I ran the codes......... its the dreaded missfire number 4. With pending multiple misfires. And pending missfire cylinder 2. Looks like i need to go through everything and clean it up. Hopefully i won't have to rotate the exhaust valves. Damn 97's.
