Have any of you tried the new link? Mine is coming back as VIN could not be found.

Figured it out.

CAPS MATTER!

My guess is that FCA (Fiat Chrysler America) owns that database that retrieves this information.

I'm also guessing that they shut it down, at least for older model Jeeps. Remember, they no longer make parts for your TJ, so my guess is they no longer want it in the database either.

I recently sent an email for a build sheet from Jeep Customer Service. In, the meantime, I found another route via the Jeep website to get one which worked. Then a few days later, Jeep sent me one via email. It took a little over a week to get one from Jeep.

Still, it's good to have it so I know what came on mine originally.

Hi all - I've been following these forums since I got the itch to get into a TJ last year (and finally found one in August). I did just figure out how to get around the dead link!

If you simply paste the link into your browser using your own VIN in place of the Xs, you can still see the build sheet:
https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Hope this helps anyone else who is looking for their info and you don't have to wait on anyone!

Cheers,
Mark
