Whats your guys opinion of Metal Cloak?

And put up with constant bashing by posters blindly loyal to different brands? Life is too short.
Besides, the newer models are where the money is. We drive dinosaurs.
I've tried to engage in a discussion with him about why they build a few things the way they do and have given him many opportunities to explain and promote his products. He ignores all of my questions so I think he doesn't want to explain how MetalCloak is better.
Is that a blanket statement to all who are critical or suspicious? Or are there some who try to make an assessment of individual components without regard to the specific brand-name?
Is someone a party loyalist if they think Donald Trump is being dishonest about his weight and height?
He's never been "active" on the forum, only a lurker. To be honest though, I don't see him really active anywhere anymore. If you are seeing an active Metalcloak person on another forum or social media, chances are it's a marketing person they've hired to engage with people online.
Let's stop the Donald Trump and political references before this thread derails even further. You know as well as I do that when you bring politics into the discussion, things can get ugly very quick.

Seriously, it's Jeep parts and in my mind, any company that makes Jeep parts are pretty good. You either like these parts enough to buy them or you don't.
Metalcloak to their credit has done some stuff that's different to the rest of the market and kudos to them. I have a Metalcloak front bumper and love the thing. It may not stand up to Queen of the Hammers or whatever but I don't do that shit.

I don't have an opinion one way or the other about Metalcloak, its management, or its products.
I find it interesting but not surprising that the company and the people who run it generate such strong feelings on the Internet jeep forums - even among some who have never owned or used any Metalcloak products and haven't had any direct contact with the company.
Threads like this are important because they allow actual Metalcloak users to communicate their real world experiences and for designer/builders to articulate their evaluation of the underlying engineering. Let's not silence them.
The rest, including this post, are just noise.

FWiW, I am not "among those" and I have nothing but good things to say about MC's customer service. They sent me replacement parts after my front track bar began to show wear early on in it's time with me.
Granted, this thread should be about bumpers. But it is still a thread discussing tech, even if that tech discussion doesn't fit a certain narrative. It is this brand narrative that is deeply troubling to a certain group.
It's a shame that some will continue to conflate a tech discussion with brand bashing.

If MC were my company, this is exactly where I would be. Not just a "lurker" but actively engaging with owners to find out what has worked and hasn't to make a better product. if the Co. had the revenue, I would hire someone to join all the wrangler forums to do just that. I've only been here since Mar. 7, a little over 2 months. In that time I have learned a world of information and now know beyond a reasonable doubt what I need to do and the future of what I will build for a streetable/off-road capable TJ.
