Rock Hard 4x4. My bumper is one generation behind the current, but still a very well thought out bumper. If you're looking for a super solid bumper (USA made too) I'd strongly recommend them. Good install videos that are made in house from them. So no crappy instruction booklets with grainy pictures.

Finally finished up my front end (at least for now), winch install, ran all the light wiring, etc.
  • Warn VR8 Winch
  • AEV License Plate Bracket
  • Raxiom LED Fog Lights and Spot Lights
  • WHDZ LED Headlights
  • Drake Grill Inserts
  • EAG Front Bumper
Added a stock switch to the blank spot in the stock switch pod for the fog lights, and added a simple toggle for the A pillar lights, leaving room for another toggle in the future if needed.

May swap out the amber lenses to clear ones at some point.

Looks good.

Nice call on the old style factory foglight switch. Clean looking. I used one like that in the same spot for the lights in my rear bumper.

I started last night, ran out of time, picked it up today and had to do a lot of back tracking and discovering issues from the PO of the bumper. Some of the mounting bolts he (or probably someone he paid to install his bumper because he didn't seem very mechanically inclined or like he enjoyed wrenching) welded to some of the mounting brackets instead of letting the machined teeth of the bolts bite into the plates. Then when I loosened some of the nuts on the tank skid and tank everything got real hairy. So I think I'mm be dropping the tank soon so I can get it all squared up instead of setting for a few of the nuts missing. But at least I got the bumper on and squared away!View attachment 101255

Don't mind the HiLift, it's just for looks, ha ha. It was gifted to me after my dad used it for a project around the house. I figure since the bumper has a spot for it, I may as well keep it from getting in my way laying around the garage.

I would get a cover to protect the jack mechanism, they get real dusty on the bumper. That way it will work when you need it. I keep mine inside and covered.

Changed the oil. Pushed it to 3600 this time. Tick tick tick and black as the desert sky. I'll stick to 3K next time.

Dropped the tank for an evap code. Didn't tighten the ring enough when I did the pump. Getting good at it, probably 3hrs this time. Never thought dropping the tank is something I'd get good at but I guess third time is a charm.

So tidy! Impressive. I might get one eventually. But I think my dad just got a cheap Harbor Freight one and I don't know that I'll even use it due to the dangers, but we'll see.

Today (now yesterday) I finished getting my new Rusty's springs and Bilstein shocks with the Teraflex bar pin eliminators on the front end, I'll have to do a little backtracking once I decide what I'm going to do about bump stops, but at least it's getting closer to being drive-able! And no need to worry, I finished adding on the nut on top of the shock after photos were taken.

Started chasing a clunking noise from the rear passenger side on my stock '97. Everything is original except for the shocks and I'm leaning toward the control arms. The lower arm bushings are cracked and I guess it's time. Finally got used to posting a pic even if it's unrelated to the project, just because...
