What did you do to your TJ today?

Home Depot door hooks. $15. Why would you spend $100 on these?

I would lower the hooks so the bottom of the door sits on the hooks, and devise a way to attach the top to the studs, like one of the little simple hook and loop fasteners with a carabiner.

If you look at how those doors are made where the horizontal meets the a-pillar that is a very delicate weld on thin material.

Painted the interior doors black. Going all black in the interior. I found this TJ sitting under some trees and hadn’t run in a year. New battery cranked it and I drove off for 1K. Done some TLC on it and have started making it “mine”. I have loved becoming a Jeep owner. It’s such a fun hobby!

This resurrection deserves it's on "1000 dollar TJ " thread. You have some elbow grease in that, and it shows.

Had to put the cover on the jeep. Sometimes it does rain in Phoenix

Changed out the plugs yesterday. No idea how long these plugs were in there, and I'm not sure what condition they're in. They look more or less ok to me, the gaps were fine, but I don't have a lot of experience so idk.

I put new NGK's in, put some anti-seize on the threads and some dielectric grease on the insulators. Final result is the Jeep seems to run a lot smoother, but it could just be in my head. It did occasionally idle rough before and I haven't noticed it since I did the plugs last night, so here's hoping thats fixed.

Cyclinder 6 had a lot of oil leakage around it from the valve cover. Guess I gotta fix that.

That would be the PURPLE wire! LOL. Are you mounting the camera in/on the spare or at the license plate?

LOL, that's too funny. At least it will be easy for me to find. I know exactly what that color looks like. :D
Thanks for the tip.

Oh, and I'm not sure where I'm going to mount it yet. The spare has a cover on it and the plate is obviously to one side. I may see about trying to mount it on the bumper under the spare?? I need to go check it out later and see what I can come up with. :D

My hard wire kit came so I finished the dash cam project. I ended up just using a zip tie to kind of make it a little harder to just reach in and grab.

Mounted the camera under the plate frame for now.

Even got it wired in and it works in reverse. :D

Had to cut my exhaust off the other week after installing my JKS track bar and angled bracket so I ordered a Dynomax Super Turbo and threw together a little turn down setup. Never ran one of these mufflers before but it’s not bad. Similar to a Magnaflow sound, slight rumble at idle and almost silent at highway speeds

Tiffany has been with me a few years now. She's rode around in a Nissan Titan, Chrysler mini-van, Mrs Willy's Volvo crossover and now has taken up residence in the LJ. Lately she's been turning blue with the increased sun since I dropped the top down. I figure as long as she'll hold together, the LJ is a good place for her. She has a younger sister with a ukulele who moved into the Volvo.

(named for a friend of our daughter's who bears a passing resemblence to her)

Got it from our last exchange student, apparently it’s from a Dutch grocery store.
