Hi just need help, I am getting a tom woods SYE kit they asked me to measure the drive shaft and I simply just don't have a tape measure on me at the moment and I would like to order this asap, so does anyone know how long the driveshaft needs to be with a 2.5" lift with 33" tires, it has the short arm kit from rough country.

This is a specific part to your specific jeep. You'll have to measure it for 100% accuracy

Post a pic. Yesterday a couple guys measured someone's steering toe with tremendous accuracy.

Go get a tape measure first. :)

So I got the measurement
first I took a video to show how I was measuring it

You will need the SYE installed and the pointed at it before you can measure for a DC drive shaft.
Called Troy from Tom Woods drive shaft he said all he needs is 2 reference points trans to diff and he can work the difference to get me the correct length drive shaft, I’m ordering an sye kit which includes the sye and drive shaft. Very interesting he didn’t need the drive shaft measured, he only needed the length between the two reference points and that’s it.

Very good. If you got what he needs, then he'll give you the shaft.

I spoke to Tom about what they need to figure driveshaft lengths once. He said they've done so many TJ driveshafts over the years that they can extrapolate from pretty much any measurement the customer can provide to give them what they need to know the correct CV driveshaft length.
