Got these Rugged Ridge trail bags in today...

they won't fit my jeep as they are for an unlimited, but I'll make them work. Why would I do such a thing you ask?

Went to the Snow Jam. A lot of sitting and waiting, but fun nonetheless.

Installed a new front output shaft yoke and seal and rebuilt the front driveshaft using the non-greaseable kit from Denny's https://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/p3..._for_jeep_with_oem_1310_series_non_greas.html

Far from catastrophic wear in the old set, but one u-joint was a little clunky and there was noticeable wear of the centering ball spring. The rebuild smoothed things out, especially on deceleration. The old components go into the get-you-home parts cache.

Also changed the transmission and transfer case fluid — much easier with the skid plate out of the way.

Installed JB SS sye, hope I did everything correct ?? Need to figure out the speed sensor still... Next up paint skid and attempt that install.

I started my Old Man Emu ultimate lift. I just did the rear today. I will tackle the front next weekend. As long as I was doing it, I went ahead and replaced the brakes and I’m also doing the tie rod upgrade

Gave the LJ some love today by installing a new JVC double din stereo with CarPlay and a backup camera input. I then took a BrandMotion JK camera and adapted it to the LJ for a nice clean factory look on the spare tire mount. Very pleased with how it turned out.

Installed a Cover King rear bench seat cover for my jeep dog.

Woke up at 5:30 to go into my 20 degree garage to replace my unknown to me broken thermostat. I knew there was a problem I just didn’t know it was broken.
Also got new rear Rancho shocks installed yesterday!

I continue my quest to get this Jeep back to a fairly stock condition. Replaced aftermarket wheels with a set of Canyons and got the factory decals back in place. I have a very different vision than the previous owner. Luckily for me, the youth ran out of money before things got too out of control.

Was actually last weekend, but I’ve been on vacation with the wife all week. Finished replacing upper and lower ball joints, front shocks, steering stabilizer, brakes pads, routers and changed the oil for good measure. Took for test drive, death wobble moved from 45 mph to 65 mph. Grrrr back to the drawing board.

Replaced crown OPDA and new Mopar sensor with a NOS Mopar OPDA with sg mod and Mopar original sensor today. No more codes!

Just for shit's and grin's I pulled the chrome overlay off the grill to see how it looked. The paint underneath had a couple of rust spots on it, been on there almost 15 years. Used rubbing compound and then paste wax, turned out fine.
