Been thinking about an in-cab winch control for a while, was pretty optimistic when I found out Warn made an in cab control switch that was nice and precut with connectors, all spliced nicely into a plug that replaced the one on the side of my winch.
After receiving it, I'm wondering why its still for sale. purchased it straight off their website. To say I'm a little let down would be a dramatic understatement.
If my winch was mounted on my cowl in front of the windshield or if I wanted a switch next to my headlight it just might work.
The instructions are garbage, and the connectors don't match up with the solenoids in my xd9000i. I guess other models have blade connectors.
sure, I could cut, splice, and crimp extension wires where needed and shorten on the other end, but if I wanted to do that I would have just done it all myself in the first place.
Just wanted to let you all know, if you're considering this kit, don't.
