Got some factory mopar style switches to blend into the dash for the air compressor and the rear Yukon Air Locker. Like the way it turned out because I did not want to cut into this dash...love the factory look and its really clean and not obvious. I temp mounted the air compressor to the 2 steel loop tie downs on the passenger side in the cargo compartment. Works well and keeps the underneath clean and thankfully in the LJ I have room to do this without compromising too much storage space. If I ever have to remove for any reason I can cut the plastic tie straps and remove it and then put it back.

Getting up to date now. Had some issues with the driveshaft clearing the new upper control arm mounts at full compression due to the Dana 50 being so offset to the drivers side...had to modify the drivers side bracket and weld the support to the rear of the bracket and allow around 1.5 inches of room that I needed at full stuff...I knew there would be issues adapting any system to the 1 tons so it took some thought but we worked it out and it works perfect now!

And lastly after doing a lot of research on sway bars I decided on a ORO Swayloc because I will drive this Jeep on the road a lot as well as crawl it I wanted to enhance the handling over stock on the road and not have to disconnect when we go wheeling so the dual rate was the best choice for my application. Installation is pretty straight forward unless you have a stock front bumper which I do for now then you will need to cut some slots in it to allow the arms to move freely when cycling the suspension. on the road wow it handles amazing...took all the body lean out of the jeep which surprised me. Flex is not affected that much which really is exciting looking forward to our trial run this weekend. My son did a video on it as well below

Measuring for bumpstops before the swayloc install...full stuff and its getting into the front flare too much for me so we have measured and are adding the stops this week...the upper bumpstop mounts on the front get into the spring since the coil buckets are wider by 1.5 inches per side because of the axle so I am going to cut and bend over the mount and reweld it back so it sits centered in the coil.

So far taken it to work a few times 20 min each way. Around town and at 70 on the way home...very impressed with the rattle clunk free ride thats better than it was stock...it has no squat or tail raise when you hit the throttle and corners and has zero bumpsteer...could not be happier...now to test it off road and see how the bushings hold up as I have heard about older Full Traction bushing issues so I will be watching and updating as time goes on for sure.

If you run into any issues with the upper bumpstop you can divide it between the top and bottom - shorter on top and more on the bottom to even it out. That’s one way to work with spring deflection. When you correct that upper post pics!

Thank you man! Yes I am right now...it is plenty strong to steer the tires and I am planning on a ram assist but we will see...I like the way it drives now. Add a steering box brace though because you do not want to rip it off the frame...these jeep boxes are powerful (y)
 
If only AEV made their high line for our jeeps still
The AEV plastic flare might be impossible to duplicate but modifying the steel front fenders is pretty easy. AEV used the stock inner fender, cut the top off, raised it 2" and filled the gap with a 3" wide strip of "flat" metal. The only "custom part is the raised outer fender which is just a few 90 degree bends..... and the front cap with the turn signal.

If you don't mind saying, where did you get the dash switch panel at? don't like the ARB switches and prefer the OEM look.

No problem glad to help! I like the factory switches too...I believe it might have been this one here...mine is a sport so I had 2 blanks in my dash that I cut out and mounted these switches into

Ah ok. I have an 01 sport, and have 3 spots but one is used for my fog lights. I may need the entire lower dash panel switch rather than just the switches. Doing more looking around on eBay I found the entire lower dash with switches for 79or so $$. Thanks again. I like the the Ar969 wheels on your LJ, not sure if you'll keep them but they look good with the red. Keep on keeping on!

The Jeep drives AMAZING...could not believe how soft and comfortable and stable it was...it also climbed like a mountain goat...could not be more pleased...just need to let more air out of the tires....12 psi was too much evidently but will keep experimenting...the suspension takes all the obstacles so well and zero torque steer or lift or squat...very happy with it...steering was really strong in all but one situation...brakes amazing...the rubicrawler was magical coming down some 4 ft stairsteps no brakes needed just steering...so fun....on several loose climbs you need a little bit more wheel speed than the 10.88:1 so I used the regular 4:1 rocktrac for 80% of the climbs we did
