I straightened my bent tailgate corner and installed a new trektop nx.

Was turning into a great jeep day until it threw p0431 when I arrived at my buddy's house.

Ok, the bolt not being torqued to spec was the issue. Drove it to work and back and purposely tried hitting some of the bigger holes in the city road, LOL, and all was fine. It is actually back to normal as far as steering and rides much better then it did with the stock springs. :D

That is great news!

Took it to the alignment shop. I don't know how to read this but the guy told me it was pretty bad. He said it would have definitely wore the tires wrong.

Based on the red showing up for the rear axle, I wonder how much of half-assed a job they actually did to install the alignment machine parts (whatever they're called) on any of the wheels.

Regardless, since the toe in was really off and they adjusted it, it's probably considerably better than where it started. It may even be pretty close to perfect. Either way, you and your husband may want to double check that.

Started a weight reduction program. I realized that I need to clean this thing out more often. I had lot of water bottles and other unnecessary weight in the damn thing. I even found lunch from last season. Thank god it was still sealed in a zip lock bag. I also decided to remove the rear tuffy storage box. It weighs a LOT and looking at what I stored in it didn't justify the need at all. Also removed the sound bar as I'll be converting to a CJ style roll bar soon. I'll also be fabbing a mount to put my spare in the bed and get rid of the big ol' honkin' rear tire carrier that weighs a ton. Was wondering why my springs were sagging so much.

@jesseshoots sold me some control arms. Now installed.

if a person has never done this before, it’s sort of trying. It took all my strength to shift the rear axle so the bolts would go through. If I ever go fully adjustable, I’m not sure what I’m going to do. These were about 1/4” shorter than what I had.

Ratchet straps help tremendously.

ive read that but didn’t know what to attach them to. So I just heman the rear axle. Today was chest day in the gym so I’m dead tired now.

If I get to the front, what do I attach the ratchet strap to? The axle and then what?

To pull rear attach to the skid plate. To pull forward attach to the front bumper.

Got my dash tray and put it in. Now to find stuff to put in it. LOL

It comes with 3M tape that you just peel the coating off and stick it to the dash, but because I want to be able to remove the defroster panel, I used the stuff below. Not sure how it will do with the heat, but if it doesn't work I will probably do the heavy duty velcro. :D
