What did you do to your TJ today?

Had a lot of rain in my area as of late and the Jeep started smelling a wet dog, so it was a time for a full interior cleaning. Shampooed and vacuumed the carpets and cleaned the seats and dash

During the process I noticed I had some interior rust under the driver's door and some rust on the floor pan. Think the previous owner may have been BS'ing me when he said the interior never got wet lol Its always something😑

So what is everyone doing to protect the interior of their Jeep?

Several years ago I installed a set of LEDs in the IPF H4 headlight housings. The main problem I had with them was that I operate a Ham Radio from the Wrangler and the amount of stray RFI put out by the poorly filtered ballast (igniter) caused a S9 signal on my radio. Tried grounding the igniter, installed ferrite chokes, filter cap on the feed line, upgraded the antenna coax to highly shielded LMR400, All of these steps had very little affect.
When the headlights were off; there was no RFI, but as soon as I turned the headlights on... S9 of noise.
Contacted the distributor and explained the problem and my steps to resolve the problem; apparently others had complained about the noise and problems with focusing the high beams. The distributor apologized and I received a full refund including shipping.
This is barely discernible on the AM broadcast band - more like a barely audible increase of the noise floor. What it does on CB or elsewhere I have no idea, but BeamTech has already replied to my query, and are sending their "decoder" that is supposed to solve any noise issues. We'll see. Its completely livable at the levels I'm seeing on AM, but might as well try their filter and/or a ferrite on the line if I feel the need.

Test fit the half doors I bought yesterday; my Jeep instantly went from cool to sex on wheels

The guy who was selling them through FB marketplace said he had about 20 people message him that day, one of them 2 minutes after me . 5.5 hour round trip later, I had a nice set of solar yellow half doors (+ 03-06 mirrors) with fabric uppers for $350 😏. Only need to get lock cylinders and move the hinges so they fit right.

Routed coax and power for CB, mounted the radio and mic holder in a nice spot. Also routed power for aux reverse bumper lights. Next is grounding and tuning the antenna, if I can get a hold of some ground strap tomorrow.

Removed K&N air intake system and now back to the stock box (wish I would've not fallen for that crap and wasted money on it). Now in the process of trying to sell it to some other sucker on FB marketplace :p

I believe you could just use a choke and that would eliminate your noise issues. Probably a bit cheaper as well.

why do you not like it? I’ve had them before and I prefer the filtration system.

I'm giving this a shot - Eastwood Rust Inhibitor. That and keeping the interior dry of course.

What seat covers do you have? They look really nice.
