LED light flicker

Hey guys, new member. Just have a question about LED's. Just installed some LX LED's on my 04 sport wrangler. When I start my jeep the lights don't come on immediately, once I start to drive they turn on then flicker real bad (These are DRL), but when I switch the headlights on (as in night time driving) they work great with no flicker. Read in a different post that you shouldn't need an antiflicker. Just wondering what may be wrong. Thanks in advance.

The way that some DRL's work is by running the high beams at about 90% of the proper voltage. That could be why they work normally when you flip them on with the switch. I'm not sure how to remedy your situation though.

Check the ground on your daytime running light module. It’s G100.

I had this exact issue with amazon knockoffs and legit trucklites. I spent months trying antiflicker, capacitors, etc.

In the end it was just a bad connection on the harness plugging into the drl controller. I had to clean the connection and slightly bend the pin. Get it flickering and then wiggle the harness in different spots.

Use electrical contact cleaner. I like Detoxit. It’s expensive but its formulated to react with the corrosion instead of just blowing it off.

A bit of sandpaper to make the contact shiny was all I needed to do.

Hey was just wondering if you ended up fixing it I got the same problem here with my tj

Mine ended up being a bit of corrosion on the pins of the DRL module. After cleaning them up and bending them slightly it solved the problem.

I’m having the same issue but only on 1 side , the drl and the hig beams work perfectly but only flickering when it’s low beams , I even bought another headlight just to make sure the first one wasn’t just burnt or something, but it did the exact same thing
