Sourcing a factory jack

I bought a 97 Sahara. Will post some pics later, but I'm happy with it. Didn't have the jack, though! I have a bottle jack from harbor freight but I'd prefer to keep a factory jack on board because of the compact size. Is there a "best place to get one?"

I considered just finding some TJ's in a junkyard and picking through until i find one that has a jack. But if there's a place where I can get one that's not too $$$, I'd prefer to just have it shipped to my home. Thoughts?

Just checked Davey's--50 bucks for the full set. Not sure what shipping will be but that's cheaper than anything I found currently on ebay (there were also a lot of orphaned lug wrenches and jacks without the rest of the kit).

What are the accurate parameters of stock bottle jack? I wont find it here, but atleast will buy some taiwanese or older german one to fit under seat.

There are no TJ's in junk yards in NM, CO, or AZ. You might get lucky, but they'll want at least $50 there as well.

If it would fit in a USPS flat rate box I have one that I can't use anymore. Don't I will have to look at see what all I have but I think I have the complete kit. Jack, handle, crank rod & lug wrench. I'll look for it tomorrow and see what I have. And see if I can make it fit into a flat rate box.

I posted on my local site and got 4-5 people in the first hour offering me theirs for free. I ended up going to a guys house who had 4..

I think a lot of people remove them thinking they will not work when they go to larger tires but works just enough even with my 35s.

Get some seat risers (you know you want them anyway) and you can fit this under there no problem. It's not as big as the pic makes it seem. Only reason it's any larger laying on it's side is that lever being mounted on the side like that.

I had thought about that (I already have a similar one at home) but having a few times used the factory jack with the extension that you rotate to raise/lower, I couldn't believe how easy it was and am all but set on it.

On a side not you can also still use the stock jack up to I think it is a 33" tire.
