Anyone else like stock TJs?

More than most people here but less than a couple members here.Sounds like you've spent some time here?What years were you out here?
I think if you embrace the desert, you'll never get tired of living here. The dunes are always changing, and the wind quickly covers any tracks. You can go to the same place over and over again and it keeps changing. And there's just so much of it. And really, can you ever get tired of a camp fire and more stars than you could ever count? Some people look at the desert and see nothing. I see a mix of full octane fun and peace and serenity when you shut the vehicles off. It's a beautiful place.
Money helps but really a YJ or a TJ doesn't need to break the bank, you can get out there and have a lot of fun on a budget if you want to.
But that said, it's a great place to make money (well... not right now but it'll bounce back) and spend it on toys. There's a good following in sports cars, supercars, luxury cars, 4x4s, classic cars... anything with wheels and an engine people love out here and you'll meet some great people in those gatherings.
And that's before we get in to the beaches, pools and resorts and restaurants and activity centres.
I've been here 22 years and there's still places I haven't been and still want to see.
To some there's nothing here. For me, it's got everything I want.

I do want to spend more time exploring the neighbouring countries also. Oman was a fantastic place to grow up, but I want to re-visit there more now that cameras are so much better. My old pictures don't do it justice as per the memories now.
And Saudi Arabia is opening the doors for Tourism and modernising so much in the last few years. There's been changes there I didn't think I'd see in my time in the Middle East. I also desperately want to go travel there while it's still fresh and authentic and not too commercial. I've been to Saudi a lot for work in the past, but on those trips I only got to see the industrial areas which are nothing like the video below.
But as much as I love here, there's still so much of the US I'd like to see also though. Would like to some day keep a Jeep over there and find a way to work from home 2-3 months a year over there while travelling.
Sooner the world gets back to normal and I can afford to finish my projects and be allowed to travel, the better

I like stock look the best, that’s why I have 2 of them (04 Rubi and an 05 X). I don’t do serious off roading, and for what off road I do, stock is more than capable. I am also aware of how fortunate I am.

I think it's mostly a matter of proportions.
The wheel wells of the Jeep TJ have a much larger opening than the older Jeep CJ and YJ. And yet they came with the same stock size tires? That doesn't make much sense. But even the larger stock 30" tires look a bit small under those large wheel wells. I am pretty sure the designers of the TJ opened up the wheel wells on purpose to accommodate the wildly popular 33" tires most Jeep owners seem to prefer.
I personally think the TJ looks proportionately "correct" with a 2" - 3" lift and 31" - 32" tires.

Until they released the Rubicon package in 2003. Ever seen the 31 inch tires in their fenders at full bump?
I, too like the stock TJ look and drive/ride. I have a 2002 sport all original that has been my daily driver. I also have a 06 golden eagle, also all original. The 06 will be with me till death do us part. I bought it new and in 2013 stupidly sold it to a close friend, who, after much begging and pleading sold it back to me! So, now for those stock TJ lovers out there, I will be selling my 02 very soon.

Where are you finding made in USA Levi's?From outside USA Some of us are so influenced by USA products, Like I will only wear USA made Levis or USA made Carhartt ( although I prefer Dickies, Guys you sold out to Chinna, go Texas Chexas) But man that stock raised Tj front end and low rear even with a big heavy 6 is well Sexy lol and you want to level it out? Buy a Toyota

Tj has too much exterior plastic and rubber. Also grille without bulging trucklighr headlights look very weird. I like the softline cj
I just missed out on a couple of real clean Golden Eagles in Australia, but most of them here are 2005 build, I was lucky to get my 06 65th at the price I paid (although I wanted an 04) they have actually in a very short few Covid 19 months almost doubled in price? I think aussies are now realising the price you guys are willing to pay for a totally rust free TJ? When gas was through the roof here you couldn't sell one for love nor money!
Dealers are hiking up the price weekly, There is a 2006 for sale today on FB (Perth) for $16,000, the norm for a TJ is $4.5 to $8.5

I only wear Big "E" Levi's original selvage shrink to fits but alas they are now "Retro Reproduced" and made all over the world, mainly Thailand, Japanese made are the best of the bunch and closest to USA specs but you can still get shrink to fits at Wally World last time I was in USA.Where are you finding made in USA Levi's?
In the late 1980s we raided every Thrift shop we come across up and down the country for USA made levies, (Wako Texas was the best), nobody there wanted them? You cannot beat a USA made shrink to fit pair of LEVIS, quality second to non
I'd be willing to pay $10 for all the TJs you can get me for those prices. You can pocket the extra cash.
