What did you do to your TJ today?

Tcase shifter extension. Some of my local spots I am constantly going back and fourth from 2 d to 4hi and lo. Got sick of reaching down. This paired with the savvy linkage is smooth. I need to touch up my shaft and come up with a better way to hide threads.

Maybe some black heat shrink over the threaded area you want covered?

I'd text @Hog a lot more if he would lift the restraining order on me.

Back to fitting my new half doors. I've wanted these for so long , thank @Hog, I owe you again man.

John, text any time and ride over this way soon.

@samwisegrimmjeep is over that way in DeSoto today.

Got some pics of my '03 under a big flag today. Pretty neat.

Y'all take care.

Ist gear set I've done since the late 90s. Dana 44 getting .008 backlash. I think its decent, but looking for second opinion.

Daughters new tj had trashed spider gears and bearings. Tooth fell off the pinion when it came out. So complete rebuild we go.

Thanks John for posting that.

What really thrilled me was it's rare to find the right color, good condition and low price. Thanks again @Hog. I'd about quit looking.

I picked up some 1/4 black abs sheeting at a surplus store today to make door panels, put plastic plugs in the key holes with silicone, I' ll never need keys with no uppers , siliconed the weatherstrip the upper halves typically hold down, buffed them out and touched up any nicks. They need hardly any adjustment.

I'm at a bonfire in RC, can't beat a Jeep for good outdoor fun.

Missed the LJR in Raleigh, sold instantly.

Life goes on.

I’m at one also:)

One of the first things I did after buying my TJ, was replace the melted blower motor speed switch. Went aftermarket. It's worked, but has felt.....like a child's playhouse oven switch. Vague feeling, lots of play between clicks/notches. Bought an oem off ebay and put it in, since I already have the dash apart for the hard top wiring. Nice, definitive clicks, no sloppiness. Money well spent.

Worked on the hard top wiring. Got the rear defrost switch hooked up the other day. Timer circuit works like it should. Today I got the tub wiring hooked up. Rear dome light works. Need to tidy up some stuff before checking the wiper/washer. Have a couple oem rocker switches I'm going to swap the custom rocker switch rockers (dome light cutout and blower motor cutout) onto so they're backlit. Full set of LEDs installed in half the switches so far. Have the aux double switch pod mod done. Epoxied some makeshift mounting tabs for the top of the center stack bezel near the defrost vent where the originals were long gone.

Rain should be gone by morning, so we'll see what I can get done before heading to my parents before lunch.

Winched and dragged out a bunch of fallen trees. Found out logging chain might as well be camo, lost one of my short pieces. I hope I find it before the lawnmower does😬

Anyone ever forget about and drag their winch control.....?

It was a fun day, learned a little more about winching, gotta get a snatch block.
