I’m waiting for you to share your incompletely story with me! Ha ha coward!

I'm only posting it once. Now I feel icky and gross.

And if you read the O.P. First post, he says he has a bad pinion angle, then refers to the incorrect pinion angle as axle wrap. Incorrect pinion angle is just that, incorrect pinion angle.

I think what Blaine was saying to you originally is that the bad pinion angle is caused by axle wrap. Causing the pinion angle to rise due to soft or shot joints, will in turn give you a bad angle. That is the definition of axle wrap(?)

Damn it, now I’m coming back here as a result of new post notifications just hoping to see this stamped steel arm, pinion angle, axle wrap situation only to find @jjvw slowly 1/4”ing his way to balls deep in something

axle wrap happens when the pinion rotates under power. By the O.P. Description, the pinion angle is incorrect. Says nothing about axle rotating under a load. It might, but he didn’t say for sure. We can only guess as I have seen no pictures of the suspension.

@Mrhp can you define load? Wouldnt it be the same thing as acceleration ? Or are you saying load in a sense of weight, as in you have a heavy load in the rear of the jeep? Because I know the pinion angle can change with weight in the rear

Load would be under torque or acceleration. When under load, the axle wants to rotate opposite of tire rotation.

Yes and that is the definition of axle wrap correct? and that would also be causing the bad pinion angle correct?

The O.P. Says nothing about being under load, my understanding is the pinion angle is incorrect with the vehicle sitting static.
