Body lift removal

Currently I am running 33s on 15 inch wheels. My 06 rubicon auto has a 2.5 arb lift, 1.25 bl and a one inch bl. Clearance has been great Gearing is not great and in our 70s, getting in and out is a bit of challenge.

I have found a good set of 16” moab wheels. My thought is to go back to original tire size and remove BL. i plan to leave suspenion lift and mm lift alone.

would any of this removal cause axle geometry change and does the mmlift work without the BL? Will the arb lift look funny with the 245/75r16s?

Removing the body lift will not effect the suspension. You will need to relocate the mounting holes in your fan shroud to accommodate the MML. Also don't forget disconnect and adjust your gas fill tube when you remove the BL.

I assumed is was a mistype and the OP meant 1 inch MML. If it's a stacked BL I demand a picture.

Editing did not go well. One inch motor mount lift. 1.25” body lift.

Also, check transfer case linkage after BL removal.

With the Rubicon, you might not need the MML either. Then radiator/shroud could go back to stock location.

If you are going to stock tires it may be smarter to remove the spring lift and get stock springs and shocks instead.

Switch to 32" tires, then you can get rid of the body lift and still have enough clearance for the tires. And the 32s will make entry and exit even easier. Plus the 4.10s will give you plenty of pep from the engine and eliminate a lot of down shifting. Win-win-win!
