2" BB or 2" suspension with 31s?

Um, thats not entirely correct
2” BB is $60 on Amazon
1” BL is closer to $125 for a full replacement bushing style.
Shocks arn’t needed for a BL.
Summit has 2” springs for $111

Agree on disco’s but most forrest road / new jeepers don’t need them. Actually they could benefit from the added stability of keeping the sway attached as they build skills and experience.

2.5" Lift

Required: Shocks, springs, bumpstops, adjustable track bars, a SYE (Slip Yoke Eliminator) , rear upper and lower adjustable control arms, and a DC driveshaft. Or you can do a transfer case drop and skip the SYE, adjustable control arms, and DC driveshaft.
Tire Size Recommendation: 31" or 32" (33" will ideally need a 1" body lift to give you a bit more room in the fenders)

Adjustable track bar? Not necessary on a 2.5
Adjustable control arms? Certainly not necessary on a 2.5
SYE with a 2.5? Not necessary

We've installed many that get wheeled hard. Washouts, rocks, mud, hills, up and down, hills that are washed out and laced with rocks. Still haven't had slip yokes pull out of the 231...
Haven't had any that can't track down the road safely. The adjustable track bar can square up the stance but again it's not necessary. No T-case drop ...
Furthermore you show me how many people that run a 2.5 spring lift...not a 3, 4, 5 or 6...
A simple 2.5 spring.
Actually a lot of 2" spring can come damn close to a legit 2.5 spring...
You tell me how many people with a 2/2.5" legit lift that are running all the items you listed above and I'll give you a wooden nickel. Possibly even two.

Having said the above 2.5 is the absolute max you can get away with doing that. Legit 2.5". Not kinda sorta 2.5 meaning closer to 3...
There are springs out there that are absolutely spot on with their advertised height increase.
Then some are close but not exact. Some are way off pending accessories or not.

Yea I rocked a 2 inch BB. All stock. Then went full retard with double adjustables for 3 inch springs
