They may just be mat pads that hook on to the carpet clips? If so a RHD one would be needed. Rubber mats are a better option anyway.
Help me pick an ACC carpet color for my khaki interior

Also I went through this a few years ago when completely changing my interior. Quadratec calls the colors by a different name than ACC. So I called ACC and asked them what the colors were they supplied to Quadratec, if you don’t feel like ordering from Quadratec. 1997-2002 has different color selections than the 03-06 selections on Quadratec. I have an 06 jeep but wanted the saddle carpet from a 97-98. The carpet kit from Quadratec by ACC was a dead match.
I did some digging and it seems like there is a pad sold separately. It looks like some kind of under carpet mat. Maybe insulation?

Ah, so not the heel rest area, or whatever it is called. I wonder if anyone does a RHD specific replacement carpet set?
Ive searched for a while but haven’t found any. I’m going to call ACC on Monday and see if they produce it without the heel pad.

The original carpet has a clip built in each side passenger and driver to hold the top mats/ cover mats in place but I can see the carpet you are looking at doesnt have the clips and confirmed by Nickgsjeep
No, unfortunately he only does Seats. I spoke to another local upholsterer about doing the carpets but he said it would be far cheaper getting the pre made kit.
Just cover the now passenger heel pads with mats, not totally ideal but you will probably want floor mats to protect your new carpet then rubber mats on top to protect your new floor mats lol
You cant beat made to fit moulded carpets . Its a pain to buy RHD parts and I sometime jump right in without realizing the difference!
Why are people picking ACC over Bedrug?
I was just about to pull the trigger on some Bedrug but this is a pretty nice-looking carpet. I'm just thinking Bedrug is going to do better when it gets wet but though RockAuto for me here in Canada ACC is a better price.

There’s a few thread on it here but from what I’ve read on the forum it seems like the Essex Mass Backed is the best you can get. It’s thicker than bed rug and the mass backing adds insulation.

If you need the clips to hold floormats, you can get them on Amazon. You may need to cut a couple slits in the carpet to attach them. I added some to my OEM carpet since they were missing when I bought the Jeep.

My decision was color reasons. Bed rug color choices are limited. ACC is as close to stock as you get IMO.
Just seen they have another fabric called ‘loop’. Anyone know how it compares to Essex or Cutpile?
Also, how good is the mass backing? I was planning on putting down sound deadener but will that be redundant with the mass backing or will it further improve things?

I can’t comment on the other types of carpet. I have whatever the generic carpet kit is and compared to the worn out stock carpet that was in my jeep there was a noticeable sound difference. So I would assume anything thicker or higher quality would create significant sound deadening improvements. That being said there is not a carpet kit out there that even compares to butyl rubber sound deadening. I did noico on my entire tub and the difference on the freeway is night and day. Significant sound reduction. Conversations are far easier now.
I put ACC Essex in my jeep. Over heatshield and second skin audio sound deadener. Similar to noico.

If u routinely get the interior of your Jeep wet. Go with Bedrug. If not go with ACC.
If i had to do it again id choose the thinner acc cutpile. (Never heard of loop. Maybe a uk thing?) Only because the thickness of my heatshield and sound deadener made rubber mats buckle and not fit. Small concern tho.

This is not something I had really thought about before. My TJ has only done just over 40k miles and looks to have had thick rubber mats down all its life, so the carpet is in excellent condition.
But this thread has made me think about the benefit that f sound deadening. Has anyone lifted the OEM carpet, fitted sound deadening and then put the OEM back? Is that possible, or would pulling the OEM carpet up trash it?
