PSC reservoir install guidance

With the MC fenders, I made a small angled piece of metal to match the bend in the fenders and mounted the reserve a bit down to clear the hood. It would have been easier if I mounted it a bit further back than what I did in the photo since it was a PITA to get the lines to connect.

For the new GR fenders, I made a bracket so I could mount it a bit lower as well. I may revisit it in the future though and get the shorter reservoir since I was unaware I could buy one.

I like the approach but will the height of the reservoir at that location place the fill line opening lower than the pump?
No, I don’t believe so.

When climbing with the reservoir on the master cylinder the pump would be higher though.

Pretty sure my reservoir is taller than yours. Mines a huge sum bitch.
 
That is my next approach. I pulled the cruise and evap purge out of the way and for the hell of it, I mounted the reservoir using PSC's master cylinder bracket. With the 90 deg anti splash fitting, I got the reservoir to a comfortable elevation. The bottom of the reservoir is lower than the height of the inner fender... Not by much. When I raised the reservoir in the bracket to match the fender height, the anti splash fitting just touches the hood.
We don't use their push lock vent fitting. I use the ones from McMaster that are much shorter or closer to the cap.

I got the SR148-8-12

I may end up reversing my plan and going behind the shock tower but based on my reservoir there’s no way it can sit on the fender.

I figure I can prime the system with the reservoir lose and high until the air is out and then mount it and prime some more if needed.

As long as the reservoir fill level is above the pump it shouldn't make much difference even if the bottom is a bit below. The head pressure will push it through. Keep the pump feed as short and straight as possible and the reservoir as high as possible and you should (theoretically) be OK. Maybe it's an illusions but one of the pics in post #41shows the reservoir a good inch or more below the grill brace. That one could be mounted higher IMO.
