What did you do to your TJ today?

I'd keep it! That color seems like its a little rare, I hardly ever see them. I'd probably snag one just to have if I could.
Yeah I’ll be keeping I’m sure. I can handle the color on this one and I spend enough money on parts! Now if I were to get new JL or Gladiator they won’t be talking me into getting the bikini pearl aqua!

I put on a new Rock Hard bumper and Warn Winch. Next step is the Savvy gear link which will be done today.

USA started off driving on the left and then copied France lol look it up! Maritime rules keep Right Road rules Keep left and most of the RED is still driven by Donkey and cart only lol
haha I know man! I'm just kidding. But who cares? It's all about how you are used to. I've lived most of my life in Greece (LHD), while I have lived some years in UK (RHD). I must admit, it was quite odd at first in UK. It was almost dangerous for me as a pedestrian.

Removed the rear chrome bumper!!!! Trying to decide what to go with now. Thought about trying to find some of the old CJ style small hoop bumpers, one went on either side.

I recently replaced my stock radio with another stock radio modified to have bluetooth by

The sound was still poor.

So today I swapped in new speakers I bought at Crutchfields.

Success. Sounds great now. Radio or Bluetooth.

I realize could do more but its a Jeep not a concert hall!

Best of all it looks to be all stock and I like that.

Busy day today! Just picked up this 99 about a month ago. Cleaned up the fenders with Penetrol, replaced a faulty turn signal switch (high beams came on every time I turned right), figured out a way to hang my hard top under my deck (row home with no garage made that interesting) and finally got to see my Jeep topless.
Soft top goes on tomorrow, wish me luck!

finally set up my door hangers, I bought these hinges sometime over the winter with this project in mind but other stuff just kept coming up, but today was the day. Super cheap, I think they're around $11 a pair, much cheaper than the pre-made door hanger gizmos.

Started off by moving my old homemade shelf that I keep all my automotive crap on, in this photo it was originally to the right up against the wall as close to the garage door as possible. I used the cloth half doors as a guide to figure out where to mount the bolts. Once I had them loosely mounted, I put the half doors on for more rigidity & tightened them up, then the full Monty with the big doors to be sure, worked well:

I used two inch bolts:

This was a helluva project, I had around half a ton of wood pellets on a pallet in that corner, had to move all that first then pull everything off these shelves to move it over to its new home, then all the work to install the hinges (seemed like I picked up the doors 100 times before it was all over...).

But, something didn't look right so I had a beer & contemplated

came back in & decided the entire assembly had to move along the other wall (not shown but I already had half the crap back on the shelves which all had to come back off). Also with the tremendous weight of the full steel doors it was contorting the entire shelf which was now leaning to the right so I had to affix that cross-brace 2x4 on the back, thing is straight as an arrow & rigid as hell now:

once again all the Jeep crap is back on the shelves, doors up off the floor for the first time in 5 years. Those hinges will never get a break, once winter hits they'll be holding up the halfies

part of the reason for doing this was a whole garage overhaul, cleaning & so forth. The other half is still a disaster, I'll tackle that tomorrow. Or next year, too soon to tell 😁

Finally installed a no name Zeak winch. It had good reviews and I’m cheap which hopefully won’t come back to bite me. The install was quick and easy enough. The biggest hurdle was a tight gap between the frame and bumper but I used a die grinder bit to expand the holes just enough to get the bolts through. Everything works fine so far but time will tell.

Waited patiently for FedEx to deliver the rest of my cans of Eastwood to finish the inside of the frame before it rains all week. "Out for delivery" turned in to "Returned to facility for inspection." Apparently the idiots damaged the package beyond repair. After watching a driver unload my mounted 35" tires and wheels by rolling them over packages in the back of the truck instead of picking them up, I see how it might have happened.

Deliveries can make or break a weekend plans, there are just so many more yesterdays than tomorrows and deliveries always seem to be tomorrow lol
