Thank you TJFest 2021

Not sure mate. At the pizza party there was easily 70+ people there and not everyone made it to the pizza party.
Wow that's quite a few ….Looks like I'm gonna have to save and double my paper round so I can make it next year 😉 ...…(Hopefully this Covid crap will be behind us then too)

Yes you will! I thought you were coming to this one and were going to ride with me! I kept the passenger seat empty for ya

I had a great time, just not ever enough time. My Jeep did what I expected, and I'm very happy with it.

Best things are the 4:1 TCase, Lockers, Hand Throttle, Gears

Worst things are 33's, hitting the rear bumper and lower CA brackets a few times

That gives me some direction

I didn’t know you had a 4:1 Tcase! This makes so much sense now!

You always seem to just barely hit the control arm brackets with 35’s I don’t think you would ever touched them.

You’ve pretty much called my hand. I think 35’s are next. I already have the Currie 4” coils sitting in the garage. I looked at the Shocks today. I want the rear relocation brackets to correct the geometry, and I want to do the rear frame lift. All I need after that is some rear Dana 44 chromoly shafts. Hmmm...

Believe me I wanted too...but if I did make it out of New Zealand I would have needed to pay about 3k in Hotel fee's when I got back home in mandatory quarantine for 2 weeks....

P.s. @Nickgsjeep , I would have taken you up on the offer to drive your Jeep, but I was afraid I’d ship it to @mrblaine if I did. Nice wheelin with you on TOTW.
Hey I get it man! It was fun watching you and the fam do Chinese fire drills every 10 minutes or so, so a different kid could get some driving experience. You’re doing a good job man! Thanks for the compliments it was awesome meeting you and the clan!

The funny thing is that I am happy with my build for what we did in Moab; however, that is not the terrain that i normally wheel. So, I still got work to do!

I do already miss Moab, everything there is just so amazingly big, beautiful, and made me feel so small in relation. Everywhere you went, you had a great view!!

Agreed. Mine surpassed what I thought it could do. But also confirmed what I already knew was the needed last pieces to my puzzle (front/rear locker/limited slip). I know anywhere else isn't going to have the traction that Fins N Things does, and both of my open diffs are going to laugh at what they are being tasked to do without that traction.

At one point, we rounded a corner or something and upon seeing the new thing to see, my wife said, "That is amazing!! But, if I look over here, there is another something equally amazing!"

The on-road aspect is the most appealing to me right now!
I don't know much (anything) about hydro steering, always thought it was some super version of power steering which was intended to make steering easier off road when your bigger/heavier tires are in odd placements & conditions, how does it benefit on road driving?

Hydro acts like a very heavy steering damper. That is why I run the Fox damper despite it's minor annoyances.

that makes sense, didn't think about that, helps turn when there's a lot of resistance but keeps it more passively stable at the same time in all conditions. I always saw it as more of an offensive weapon for off road purposes.

He beat me to it, and I’ve never actually driven one on road but know that it’s something I’d like.

One thing to be aware of is that pretty much everything in the steering needs to be beefed up (mounts, bars, etc). With the traction we had in Moab someone even bent the Currie correct lync forcing a turn - probably something that experience with it will help avoid in the future.

4000 miles through 8 different states;what else you got?
