Overheating after supercharger install

Post pictures of your routing, I can tell you.
Not at the shop with my jeep but this is a drawing of how I think it SHOULD BE not how it currently is. The drawing is accurate to how things look under my hood. Let me know what you think. I've been scouring the internet for ideas. Thanks

When you say bottom/top of the heat exchanger, is the "in" port you're using on the bottom and trying to push against gravity upward? I tried looking through the install instructions for this blower and didn't catch anything.

Looking at your diagram, I have some concerns. The outlet of the pump I think, should attach to the top of the heat exchanger that way gravity will bring the coolant down and cool it. The bottom of the heat exchanger should go to the front port of the cooler and the back should go to the tank. I also mounted my pump below the tank

How I have mine connected:

Back port of cooler to coolant tank

Coolant tank to back part of water pump

Water pump to top port of the heat exchanger

Bottom port of heat exchanger to front port of cooler

I'll get to my shop early tomorrow and set it up like yours. Thanks guys this overheating seems to be my fault but without a diagram to follow I was not sure how to set this up.

You would typically have the bottom port of a heat exchanger be the inlet and the top port would be the outlet. If the outlet is at the bottom it could air lock.

Ok. So you do want the pump to push the coolant from the bottom to the top? I can see how this would force air out of the system.

Looks like you might be closing in on the issues. That will be great if you can get it figured out. And then a GOOD tune from Ryan and you should be golden. Hope this works out for you and you can enjoy your Jeep.

Yes, that is typically how it is done unless there is a specific reason why that is not possible. As in hose routing restrictions or exchangers that have both fittings at the bottom ect. If that is the case I would highly recommend air-lifting the system to remove the air before filling. A good pump should have no problem pushing the water through the core. The pump I use is a Bosch 0 392 022 002. It's the one supplied in Magnusun kits as well as others. I think it flows around 318 gph.

My Banks turbo setup is incredible. I can run full throttle (6 psi boost) up long steep hills on a hot day with the A/C on and it doesn’t overheat! It is a shame this mod is no longer available.
Me too. Uphill. Passing. With a 2000lb trailer. Took a bit to shake out all the bugs, but couldn't be more happy. Oh, and I just passed smog in Crapafornia.

Thank you for the intel. Took a look and it appears I’m SOL due to new laws. Guess I need to move to Washington and be closer to my daughter. She loves off roading. Sorry to drift off topic.

You don't want to come to WA as it's becoming another CA..... Go to ID or at least for now as it's a lot better.
Banks doesn't make the turbo kit anymore from my understanding.

I live where there wasn't any DEQ requirements and then here about 2 years ago the Seattle are said that the air quality had improved so much that there isn't any testing anymore state wide.

You guys are so off course. Come to south dakota with Governor Kristi Noem and enjoy your off roading, guns, and freedom. F**k the democrats. I love my state and Governor. If you happen to be a Democrat come anyway we can enjoy off roading together. Just leave your politics at home.
