Am I the A-hole? Another terrible customer service story.

You should change the clickbait title of this thread... you're not really asking if you the a-hole, you believe you aren't and won't listen to anyone who says otherwise... You should repost this thread and pose it as a simple rant rather than a question, it would be more honest.

It's a Jeep forum full of knuckleheads. Did you enter this conversation thinking we were going to have a philosophical debate on the extent of my assholedness? Stop taking yourself so seriously. I'm well aware that I'm a dickhead.

And from my count, the vote is about 50/50. Just cause the Godfather isn't in my camp doesn't mean the yeas have it.

Since it seems like some are keeping score,

@Pokahpolice I vote, No, you're not an asshole because of this, for other reasons maybe:ROFLMAO: (I would have done the same), to add to that, you did have a valid reason to be one though! Some people have come to believe a small percentage increase to a bill after the fact should be acceptable without notifying the consumer. I call bull shit, that is not a way to run a business. They knew there was going to be a shipping charge and neglected to disclose that.

It's pretty common place in the auto repair industry to give an "Estimate" for repairs but you never see them giving you the final cost of repairs or a "Invoice Total", until the job is done. The reason being is, it's pretty common for repairs to run into "snags" they also have this little law protecting them that varies from state to state that allows them to go up to x% above the estimate without having to call the customer.

I didn't steal the parts. Relax. I simply fucked with them because they were assholes on the phone. The type of guys that hang up and laugh about how rude they were. They will get paid EXACTLY what we agreed. I own a business and I don't pretend to hide behind today's market. I did $6.6M in revenue in this market and the customer's I deal with are a fuck of a lot more demanding than some dickhead arguing shipping.

Without fixing yourself, what industry did you get 6.6m in revenue!?
