I may be way off base, but I'll go on record estimating the other sizes probably aren't too far behind. I'll bet the MT/R with Kevlar will be replaced with something else. This tire has been on the market > 12 years, it's time for a redesign.

Goodyear buys Cooper. Cooper makes Mickey Thompson. Mickey Thompson releases the BAJA BOSS M/T that is similar to the MT/R. Goodyear begins phasing out the MT/R. Wouldn't mind seeing a new MT/R though. Other than Krawlers that's all I've run on my Jeep.

Jacksonville. I'll probably try a little wheeling in Georgia or close to there but there's absolutely no wheeling in Florida that excites me.
Not a whole lot better further up the coast from you a few states. Just not enough parks around compared to you spoiled folks from out west....

If Rausch Creek closes I'll have nothing left to keep from being a pure Mall Crawlers. And I haven't been there since.... what were we talking about?

On the advice of the board I bought 35x12.5x15 BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain KM3s a couple weeks ago. Readily available then and now (just checked). Got mine from TireBuyer - best overall price, got to my house in 2 days.

I need me some tyres now that I got my Jeep back from the shop. The problem I have is do I stick with the 15in rims or go 17in.

I'll stay in the BFG family if I go 15in.

MTRs and GA red clay soil do not play well together. For some reason they are not able to clean out the clay between the lugs as effectively as some other tread styles.

The official word I received from Goodyear is that the 35x12.5R15 MT/R has been discontinued. I was VERY fortunate to have found a new one that was shipped free to my local Discount Tire store.
Jerry, with these coveted tires discontinued (I have a set on my 97) what is the talk around the water cooler for a suggested suitable substitute?

Background. I was looking around myself the past week and found out via 2-3 different tire shops that they could no longer procure the Goodyear MT/R tires. With that said I was looking at other options but didn't see that great of reviews on these: 35x12.5x15 BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain KM3s.

Any suggestions from the group are welcomed on tire options to replace the GY 35x12.5R15 MT/R.
