Guys, I need to replace my tires and planned to do so when I did a sup lift, however I currently suffer from the dreaded disease Fundsrlow and can't swing it at the moment. So, I currently have street 31's and am looking at AT 32's and wonder if I can fit them with a spacer lift. If so how much would be enough. I don't do the rocks but like to be able to get through if I have to. Sorta like coming up an a black diamond when you thought it was a Blue... back tracking ain't my first thought but this is a rare thing.

Disconnect sway bars or no? I'd go with at least 2.25 or 2.5 budget boost lift if your going to. You'll need to change bump stops which isn't hard. I liked the daystar ones for the rear. my front were already extended so I didn't change it (guy before me had a 2.5 lift, but didn't extend rear bumpstops. )

Personally id do a 1.25 body lift, 2.25 suspension lift, 1 inch mml and you can fit most 33s as they are usually under 33 inches tall before mounted. The 33s I'm getting are 32.6 and at 3.5 lift I'm afraid I'm going to have running at flex.

Link/ name and brand of tires?

I know I was going to get 32, but most guys seem to say they wished they got 33s instead of 32s since you have to lift it either way.

2" BB and 1"bumpstop extensions should get you to clear, but wheel backspacing will factor in to it.

I ran 32X11.50 tires on stock wheels without a problem by adding the following items:

- 2" spring spacers

- 1" bump stop extensions

- Longer shocks

- 1.25" body lift

- 1" motor mount lift

- 1.5" wheel spacers

It was the perfect setup and worked very well.

You can fit 32" tires on stock height. It will be pretty tight, but it is possible. Just don't disconnect the sway bar or take it off-road as any flex will probably destroy your fenders.

Currently stock

That's a good idea since I would do that with the lift I have planned anyway.
That's kind of why I was recommending aiming for 3 inches of lift with a body and suspension.

From my research over the last year and a half before finally doing my lift, I found the general consensus across many wrangler forums, jeepz, pirate forums, wayolife or whatever it is etc was that 3.5-3.75 is minimum for 33s, 4 being reccomened. Going off that, a 32 is only half an inch less for clearance. I would shoot for 2.5-3 if you want to retain good articulation.

There is no one way nor necessarily right way to do it. The answers vary greatly. I wouldn't go less than 2.25 budget boost for 32s, even when I spoke with @Chris about my 33s I'm ordering being 32.6 he reccomened 3.5 at least lift.

Sorry to regurgitate some of what I said earlier.

YMMV

Edit: huh it seems to have quoted the wrong post. Probably user error. I meant to quote chris' post about destroying fenders.

First of all stick with nominal measurements. I see people get confused when they start saying, well, 33 are actually 32.X and what not.

I'm planning on running 32's as well. I'm going to use H&R 1" springs and a 1.25" body lift to get there. I wanted the body lift for an eventual tummy tuck. Should give me enough lift with just a little bit of Bumpstop extension to flex pretty well.

This was my setup when I ran 32's. OME 2.5" lift, 15" wheels with 3.75" of BS, 1" bumpstop extensions.

At full bump,

1" bump stop extensions,
