I’d never heard of the project. It looks like a pretty monumental effort. Any idea the total cost so far of building a river?

Lots of variables but the few I have worked on since coming on board have ranged from $1.5 to 4 million. That doesn't include any state allocated funds or private/ public contributions.

Have any of you done Liberty Trail before? Thinking about heading down there and giving it a shot this Saturday if anyone's interested. If you've done it before, thoughts? is this like carnage canyon or more like chinaman?

Perhaps not as challenging as carnage, but certainly harder than chinaman. I've never ran it.

The Penrose trails are similar to Carnage, rated 9/10. They are short trails but everyone I know that has ran the trail system there says to be ready to accept damage. Lots of ledges that put you off camber. This would be harder than Trough Trail from my understanding. My rig is down for the season or I'd go with you.

No body damage at all, was really close a couple of times though. The last waterfall the only line for anyone not in a buggy, left me extremely off camber and about enough room to slide a dollar bill between the side of the Jeep and the boulder lol. But unscathed entirely.

Jesus! I was told some 20 years ago that the price of entry to Indy Trail was 40s Nothing I see in those photos leads me to believe otherwise.
