Sarah the Sahara—More expensive than a divorce—LR4—NV3550 Conversion

Hi Mike, I followed this link from our local forum. Such an awesome build. I would of seen it sooner, but I sold the TJ to another club member and have not been on this site for awhile. I really hope to see your Jeep in person sometime in the near future. Right now I am in the process of a mild...

    4th of July TJ pictures

Just a Safari top and duster cover, open behind the seats. It stays pretty dry except in hard rain or wet hiways. I have a wraparound Windjammer that would seal it, but it's too confining. I hardly ever use it.

Can someone identify these control arms?

IMO, Savvy double adjustables are the best short arms you can buy. I have bought cheapo junk arms trying to save money, before I knew better.

How many miles can you go without stopping while flat towing a TJ?

When I had a slide in truck camper, 200 miles was the limit before she had me stop. Now with a motorhome, she can just walk to the back! No stopping required.

    Post your black Jeep

I sold the black wheels and went with charcoal Mammoth Boulder wheels. Something different I guess.

How can I determine if I have death wobble?

Oh you will know. If you are not sure if you have it, you haven't had it! Had it once. Turned out to be loose track bar frame side mount.

    Would 3 TJs be crazy

    No.

    Would 3 TJs be crazy

I'll probably get banned for saying this, but consider a 2dr JK. I bought one for my new daily a couple months ago. It's a smooth ride and better on the hi-way than my TJ. My old Nissan Altima daily driver just wasn't any fun to drive anymore. I'm not getting rid of the TJ. Nothing wrong with...

Half door mirrors or relocation brackets?

I got rid of those relocation brackets many years ago. They stick out too far, look goofy, easy tree target on tight trails, and the passenger mirror was about worthless with a full door on. I just bought another set for my half doors. Last one I replaced (newer style) was about $18 on Amazon.

    TJ owners know it all

"TJ owners know it all" I know! Except when it comes to my JK, still learning about that thing. But, having a JK has made me realize that I will never get rid of the TJ!

Bestop quick release bow knuckles. $33. On Amazon.

    Soft top frame screw stripped

Mine stripped too, and this is also what I did. The quick releases replace the plastic ends on the frame. So much easier.

Can full doors still close without door surrounds installed with bikini top?

If it's a Bestop bikini top, they are made to be used with, or without, door surrounds. Velcro for the sport bar, or rail tabs for the surrounds. Personally, I like running mine with the surrounds. It keeps the top much tighter, and doesn't dump water inside the Jeep should it rain.

    Passenger side mirror issue

My 04 TJ came with full doors and the new style plastic mirrors. The half doors I bought came with old style mirrors. Drove me nuts. I could not tighten them so they wouldn't flop around. So, I put the new style on those as well. They are more fragile than the old metal ones. I broke one last...
