Please share your process and products. I've been putting it off.

Mountain Dew in New Zealand? That is the official redneck drink in the US (I'm a native of North Carolina and proud redneck).
Yes so I’ve heard…. We’ve been ‘doing the dew’ in New Zealand since about 1990…
It’s my go to drink on a hot sunny day
As you can see I kinda like it….😂

Started the process of installing a Saavy 1.25" body lift. 5 bolts came out relatively easy. The 6 main bolts are bathing in PB Blaster. I guess this is going to take a little longer than I anticipated.
Some bolts are tougher than others thats for sure.

Big week for the Radio Flyer. I had the 42RLE replaced at a friend's shop. I got one of those "Bullripper" transmissions from the Transmission Exchange almost a year ago. It's been sitting in the garage since then, and I thought I'd better get it done before the warranty was completely gone. 3 days and a 150 miles and it's working great. It holds the gears a little longer, due to the shift kit I assume. Shifts are quicker, but smooth. My old trans was working fine, except for a shudder when the torque convertor locked up. But, with 190K miles on the clock, I wasn't going to put the old 42RLE back in. Anyone in SoCal need a 42RLE core?

Like I said, a big week for Big Red. I reassembled the half doors I had another buddy paint for me and hung them today. No problems getting the full doors off. I was kind of dreading that part, what with some of the horror stories I read here. Oh, and to keep the yellow Jeep guys happy, just know that underneath the interior door panels, my doors are Solar Yellow. I'm happy with the color match, I think the doors have a very slight orangy tint to them, but most people wouldn't even notice.

Pulled the trigger on the crown full body mount kit. I only need about 4 of them but I got the whole set of 11 for $135 as opposed to $40 a piece give or take. I couldn’t pass up the deal. When I get the body mount channels sorted out I’ll have the new rubbers to slap on this bitch too. Hell by then I might have even purchased a body lift.

You need to get it centered or you'll be driving sideways down the road, your handling will suck, and you'll induce premature tyre wear.
It is pretty much centered. I'm off less than 1/4" from one side to the other, if I spin the adjustable end one more rotation it would overcorrect and pull it 1/4" or more the other direction.
Cut a 1/4" off the tube and screw it in another 1/4" , if the threads are bottoming out tap more or cut 1/4" of threads off , your not going to need them to adjust it out.
I don't think I need to cut any off, I still got the jamb nut on, there just isn't hardly any threads left to bottom out if I needed to.

Today I did the spring swap I hadn't planned on doing, but it went well, it's done, and I'm glad I did it.

These are the original springs (left) next to the corresponding Moog 3226/3227 springs.

The fronts didn't look much thicker, but with the naked eye I could tell the new rears were thicker wire.

I wire brushed and touched up the paint as necessary. Didn't get a picture of the front progress.

So how did they do? Great, maybe good as new.

Took these in the same place and distance to try and get a fairly decent comparison.

Here's the old height measurements.

Here are the new.

Did this solo in about 5 hours from project start to tools cleaned & put away. A quick break for water/food between the front and rear.

I didn't disconnect any track bar connections; just lower end links on sway bars and shock bottoms. I did use a loan-a-tool McPherson compressor to do the right front (the first one attempted), after that I was able to get enough angle pressing down on hubs and lifting on the springs to remove/replace them without the tool.

New Moog isolators front and rear (didn't use the bottom plastic one, just the rubber top), and new bump stops in the front. Rear bump stops were done last year, about the same time I replaced the original shocks with Rancho 5000Xs.

Drove it when I went to return the loan-a-tool and the ride felt more balanced. I'll give it a few months and then recheck measurements.
