What did you do to your TJ today?

Be sure to post more pics as you go through the process.

These are from a few weeks ago when I replaced a bad fan motor assembly and my windshield washer nozzle. I just now downloaded the photos.

The fan motor replacement is a tool less endeavor on this model (2005). It sits behind the glove box on the 2004 and on models( I believe thats the right years). Earlier models it's more effort as there is a hatch you have to get to that sits behind the battery.

This was a A little tricky to get both hands on it (one to press the tab and one to twist it clockwise). A simple connector later and it's swapped out.

The windshield washer nozzle was a little more difficult just because of access. The replacement I bought needed a larger washer to attach as it doesn't have the same "clip" or base as the original. A little clear silicone under it to seat it and it was a perfect replacement.

I had to tape the new one in place to be able to thread the nut on. Once on I tightened it up a little put the hood down and got it straight, then cranked it down.

The recess under the hood to access the back of the nozzle has razor sharp edges. I was able to stay away from the BanAids this time but just barely.

A few tries to aim the nozzle later it was much better than stock. A strong spray all the way to both edges of the windshield.

Both combined were a half hour.

Managed to fix a passenger side rear broken shock bolt, gave it a much needed pressure wash inside and out. Pulled the top off in preparation for a bikini top for the summer months and rotated the tires. Also got a shopping list going. Anyone from Ohio that wants a "cold air intake" looking to trade for a factory setup?

The wife and I went off the mountain to Sonic to grab an ice cream cone each. Went by the Nickajack lake dam and enjoyed the ice cream.

On the ride home we went up the mountain around some "closed road" signs, the road is called "Hog Jaw Road" and it ends up down in "Hog Jaw Valley". We had alot of rain a few years back and the road washed away in several places. I heard you could drive up it in a 4x4, so we gave it a run. It was nothing major and didn't require 4 wheel drive, but the wife seemed to enjoy it.

Passed 160k miles yesterday:

Today I began the clutch/trans replacement job. When I pulled the T-case from the AX-15 a bunch of ATF spilled out when I split them, so I believe the input shaft seal on the NP231 is leaking. The skid plate did have some trans fluid on it. The trans is filled with Redline MT-90, so it isn't from that.

Took the roof basket off but left the bars on just in case I want to carry something long like a canoe or paddle board. It is a Kargo Master Rack and the basket is set up to clamp to 1.5" (ish) poles. Probably end up throwing it on CraigsList unless someone on here wants it. Also built a bracket / lip for the Tuffy drawer in the back so things don't go sliding off and I can use it as a basket. Shoulder eye bolts are on the way to replace the hard top bolts and provide tie down points.

Nothing! My new 4x4 turbo diesel work Ute (truck) cost me nothing to drive so the TJ is sitting there to be admired with a full tank at last months price! :) I will take it camping again after I get back from my June Darwin top end trip! Darwin is topping 100 in winter and dry heat! Cost me $450 per night in a 3 1/2 star, "Fuck you very much" Covid tourist gouging! :(

Anyone want a Genuine CU in the NT sticker? lol
