The 90's

I used to dance to this song in the front seat of my sister's 3rd gen Camaro. I actually still have an original cassette tape that still ran fading in and out 10 years ago.

My wife's first car was an '83 Camaro Berlinetta. Took me 6 years to find a decent Berlinetta to surprise her with. It's an '86, two owner, with around 65k miles. Being an '86 it's different than her car was, because it's got the full on "Starship" package. I got it for her a few years ago, and she absolutely loves it. Damn cassette player doesn't work in the pod radio though. :(

Awesome. The 3rd gens are starting to get some love now. My sisters' car was a brown or dark red V6 car. I was a toddler when she had that car, so I don't remember much else, but I do have a pic of it around here somewhere. What was the "Berlinetta" package?

Edit; I read that the "Berlinetta" package was a "luxury", middle-of-the-road V6 Camaro that focused on passenger comfort over performance.

I think you mean to say "Starship". It was a digital gauge setup and a "pod" radio. There are also pods for wipers, headlights, AC, fan, etc. Everything works for her except the cassette.

BTW it's probably for the better. I just put an old Garth Brooks tape in my garage radio, hit play, heard some music start fading in, then spent the next 5 minutes pulling tape and using a pencil to wind it back in. It's been a long time since I had to do that. :sneaky:

I actually sent it off and got an aux port added to it, which is way more practical anyway.
