Got some "catch up" wrenching done. Added some castor to the front end. Plumbed the air locker tubing, clearanced the xfer case skid for the front DL, installed a 12Oclock Labs speedo fixer, and added a couple US flag stickers.
But this is odd. Their website shows a B in here. I’ll probably get it filed in anyway but?

Solid rain the past 30 hours and will continue to rain all day. Out at 7am to pull the passenger floor plug, to drain about an inch of water in the floorboard.
One of my pups lived the first year of her life alone in an outdoor pen with no shelter. When it rains, she is terrified. It has been a long night.
No problem sir
Edit - I dont know why there's half of an emoji but its supposed to be a saluting emoji
That's funny, saw this on marketplace and was debating to pick this up or not, but decided I need my hitch for the occasional bike rack.
I did however pick up a new in box Yukon Zip Locker for my Dana 44 today for $250. Hopefully will have the time next weekend to toss it in.

I couldn't afford to pay myself for that much work. I hope they turn out like you want them to.More wheel sanding. I'm into each wheel about 10 hours of prep and they are still so-so.
Well considering how dead it feels on the freeway after putting on the stock airbox, anywhere from 60 to 80 and really any acceleration point in general it does not accelerate as hard as it used to compared to the cheap pod filter with a outerwears pre filter(intake noises were great&shortly lived)
My jeep is cammed, head with LS valvetrain, slightly ported intake,Tuned aswell ,in which I used a pod filter stuck to the intake tube and tuned it in this configuration,so yes in other terms my jeep is breathing in alot more air than a bone stock jeep so ofcourse it'll need a better intake system that's not as restrictive as the stock airbox
So if any smart-asses wants to tell me how useless CAI's are I will not proceed to talk with you furthermore.I know a few that dont like cai's are after seeing Jezzas thread even with factual evidence, did not expect the same people that i've had good shares with me here in the forum to be so out of pocket persay to another person but hey that just life. I'm cool with the ones that I know here but I guess the Cai topic is touchy and will affect out relations...
As far as filtration goes I'm not too concerned since 60-70 percent of my jeeps life is spent being a daily the other times are me crawling with it i.e at bridgeport and even at that the stock airbox can't filter the fine gravel dust from leaving/entering the place let alone the wheeling. So to help it I just ziptie a pre-filter on the airbox snout and it helped
I couldn't afford to pay myself for that much work. I hope they turn out like you want them to.
Fact. Coulda had em blasted and powder coated for much less than 40 hours of my labor
Cross section of the stock air pipe, the stock system is sized smaller at the air horn and the cross over tube than the throttle body diameter. So it is restrictive if the throttle body was sized correctly.
I see the discussion problem with just slapping a K & N filter on and calling it CAI and lumping that design in discussion with a proper CAI set up that is making efforts to duct in colder air, run larger piping, and proper filtration for being in the dirt.

If you do get a CAI, or just add a cone filter to the intake tube, I’d suggest a dry style filter and add one of those sock filters over it.
Yeah
Yeah I noticed that, the horn is a ways smaller than the TB I'm assuming around 50mm? Also what's the I.D of the intake tube seems quite small
But yeah I just slapped a cone filter at the intake tube and called it a day( but I didn't call it a CAI) one can call it a CAI since I have no hood but I won't get into that,As well because of that I didn't want to momentarily run the airbox like I now am since I had intentions of getting a THOR cowl Intake but they were on back order for 4-5 weeks,So I canceled my order....so
Factory airbox it is
I may take off the air ram/horn thing off and put a Velocity stack type deal and have some sort of ducting and put a hole on the back side of the grill for it to get some fresher air! Not too decided on what im gonna do yet as it's my daily and time is of essence so I can't just do whatever on it whenever I can ya know
I know nothing but have heard bad things about the Yukon Zips
Gotcha,Yeah I looooove the sound of my intake i had,the whistle like sound when Im in&out of throttle the noise at full throttle.....I'm a fool for the induction noisesIf memory serves me, its 47mm at the horn, 50mm ID on the cross over tube….but if I am being honest, just like people like a little louder muffler for the sound, I like to hear the engine inhaling air full throttle.
Installed my own windshield washer tank that fits with my high line fenders. So far no leaks.
