JKS vs Currie Front Track Bar

I just purchased a RC Trackbar for our jeep (recently acquired TJ 2004 6Cyl). Is there a quick and dirty way to look up this part # for the bushings? I'd like to try this out.

What I was able to find was this:

Track Bar Bushing K3176
Track Bar Bushing K3147

This is the trackbar kit I ordered with, seemed like a reasonable choice for my price range.

Forged | FR | 0-3.5 Inch Lift | Jeep Wrangler TJ (97-06)/Wrangler Unlimited (04-06)

I believe it was Moog #7252, you needed to drill out the stock bracket.

I couldn't get that bracket to stay tight. It would come loose and get aweful death wobble. If you are bent on a rough country product then get this one

though you'd be better off with a jks track bar

Good to note man - I appreciate the feedback. I went ahead and replaced the one I ordered for the one you recommended. Hopefully it works out. I'd get a jks but it's out of budget now with all the other shit we have planned to do short term.

btw I don't know shit about Jeeps, we just got into this.

Here are a couple links to get you started depending on tire size. Look in the how to and resources section for factory service mauals you can download and other good info.

I'm not sure!

I've only ever messed with my TJ specifically, and I have Dana 30 fronts, so I have nothing to compare it to other than you guys' experiences.
Haven't gotten around to a 44 front yet, but judging by the diff covers I could see where it would cause issue based on my earlier statement...
The 44 cover does seem like it would close that gap that I currently have, so that could be the issue entirely.
Maybe the 30 is netting me enough clearance, whereas the 44 would not.

A lot of the issues with clearance is due to aftermarket diff covers.

Sure, I expect the Currie is probably stronger/last longer than the JKS.
But at current pricing, one could break/bend a JKS, buy another, and STILL be cheaper than the Currie.

Easy decision. 80+ 4.5+ reviews secures my trust to try it.

I doubt the Currie will last thru 2 of the JKS, and I have seen the JKS name alot
it's simply a matter of middle man markup for majority of the difference.

You never quit with the dumbass review shit, do you? You need to buy one of those 17,000 review TV antennas so you will finally get it.

JKS front track bars used to be made by Mark H. in SoCal. He also made the same one for Currie at the time. They were both the exact same part. When John Currie pulled the part in house to produce it themselves, he made some changes. The shape was improved, the barrel was gusseted, and there were several options added to the axle end depending on which bolt size you need and what joint you preferred.

The wall thickness of the tube was increased a bunch to make a stiffer part. Those details and improvements added cost. Has not a fucking thing to do with middleman mark-up. John kept those improvements in place when he separated from Currie and started Rock Jock 4x4.

….And knowing is half the battle.

From your unbiased position, why won't the Currie last thru 2 of the JKS?

You never stop swingin off nuts do you??

...

Address the rest of his response to you and explain why he is incorrect in his correction as to why the two track bars are completely different products.

I know you won't. But you should, if you can.

I gave an opinion of what I would do
ZFG if you disapprove

Showing someone where they are completely incorrect in their assertions is not any more nut swinging than their review driven choices. I also made no recommendation, merely pointed out why your claim that the difference in cost is not middleman mark-up, but instead, a full and complete difference in how the two products are manufactured. And I fully expect you to walk away from those bits of correct information having still absorbed none of it with your continual displays of wilfull ignorance. You are incapable of learning but it is fun trying to teach you.

Completely different with an associated difference in cost of manufacturing. But yes, you are correct in that he won't. He is an expert after all.

Let me get this correct, your unbiased opinion is based off reviews?

If that is truly what you are saying, that has to be one of the more asinine things I’ve read.

Read that out loud to yourself a few times
