Hey guys I have the dreaded death wobble so started digging into the track bar. It seems as though that may be the culprit due to the play in the frame mounted side. I don’t know what kind of track bar I have but it doesn’t look like I thought it would. Does it look like it’s been drilled out? That would help me decide on the track bar replacement. I was trying to avoid drilling but if it’s already drilled then I can look at Currie etc…. Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks gents! I hate it when I over look the simple answer. 55 ft lbs at the axle and 110 ft lbs at the frame sound about right?
OP mentioned Currie as a possible replacement…the current one looks suspiciously like a Currie/RJ already.
The axle side was fine. I tightened the frame side to spec and it changed the behavior a bit. I used to have the wheel shimmy 2-3” between 35-40 mph but now it’s more like a vibration at the same speed. I’m going to torque all of the linkages tomorrow and see what happens. I’d say we are headed in the right direction. Any thoughts?

Maybe check that frame side bushing to verify its condition. A worn out bushing will cause the issues you experienced.
The frame side bolt is a 1/2” bolt. I think the JKS uses a 9/16” but this could be a previous generation. Sounds good. I’m going to take it apart tomorrow. I’ll include some pics.
The axle side is also 1/2” bolt.

To be honest, I don't know what to think. Visually the bushing looks okay. I am going to ammend my previous comment claiming its an older JKS bar. I think it is more likely to be a BDS bar.

Closing the loop here it on the death wobble situation. I replaced the track bar as a first step and it persisted. So then I replaced the drag link and tie rod with the Currectlync and that did the trick. Thanks for all of the input.
