What did you do to your TJ today?

RJ Rear trac bar showed up today so that started the classic 1 step forward 2 steps back problem solving.. Bolt at the axle side would not go in the correct way at ride height. So out came the tank. Of course a Carriage bolt stripped out so that was cut off. TB hits the exhaust too So that's the next fight. I am thinking I may just dump it before the axle. On a another note, now that the tank is out, I ordered my GTS. UCF aluminum. Time to order shocks, I want to get this wrapped up.

Are there any advantages to replacing the carriage bolts that hold the tank up with Rivnuts?

Try to stay cool my friend ! Pray for a blessing for Willis Carrier's family . You likely couldn't live where you do without Willis hard work and dedication .

5:50 pm here and the local station is reporting 101 with 40% RH. Tomorrow is suppose to be 103. I wonder how many of our recent transplants are thinking of going home.

Took BB to the 250th Birthday Parade and there were 5 Jeep in it.

As of 1630 MDT it's 72* F. with 31% R.H. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else if I had an option . And I get the transplant thing , Kali folks seem to not deal with weather reality in CO. Maybe they should all move to their friends in NYC . :)

I had the AC system charged up. When I bought it 3 years ago, the AC didn't work well. I had it charged up and it worked fine for a bit, but then it wasn't working a few months later. My mechanic checked it again. He said there is no detectable leak in front of the firewall. Over the winter, I replaced the evap core. I just got it charged up and hopefully it holds this time. I'll take it back to the mechanic in about 3 weeks to see if a) it is still holding pressure or b) the pressure has gone down which means that there is a tiny leak somewhere and need to try to trace it from the dye in the refrigerant.

You cheated. That's how real men used to lift CJ hard tops. It requires arms that are bigger than your wrists though. Video games don't build enough muscle for the younger generation to lift anything heavier than a Starbuck's Latte. 🥳

I can still do it that way,but i just don't want to anymore!

Changed the oil and filter, plus added 600ml 50/50 into the coolant tank which was slightly low. For some brain dead reason, I had only purchased 5 qts of oil, so had to go get a 6th.

I've never really been a fan of spin on oil filters to start with, but what genius though putting one on sideways was an improvement?
