Determining compatibility with my cargo basket and bike. Hoping for a quick measurement.

With the arms folded up in the carrying position, measure along the main center support from the hole where the locking knob threads through into the stem, to a height equivalent to where the cradle pads are.

I am running a 15x8.5 wheel with a 33x12.5 tire. If anyone else has this setup and uses the SpareRide, can you tell me which length stem you use (small, medium or long) and whether the back side of the center beam gets pulled snug to the tire when the lock knob is tightened?

I am replacing another carrier mounted rack and need to know if my handle bars will clear the carrier mounted cargo basket..

Hope this makes sense.. TY!!

FWIW, here's my setup. Forgive, it's been mounted for a few years — if memory serves (dangerous!) I'm thinking I used the long tongue. (see the graphic)

My spare's the same size: 15x8.5 wheel with a 33x12.5 tire. As yes, it sits snug against the tire.

Easily and without doubt, the best bike carrier made. You truly do get what you pay for with this. (in this case, I was fortunate to find it used, in good shape, on either OfferUp or FB marketplace.
