The Rubicon, the big one. Finally got my chance at redemption for a failed trip on my last attempt. Today I finally finished it! It was a crazy trip. First day we made it to a little after walker hill and this morning at 6:30 we hit the trail and had reached the far end by 3:00. Im glad to finally have this Jeeps one failed trail redeemed and couldn't be happier with its performance! These Yokohama tires were the real winner today as they never gave up grip even in the wet, soggy and cold conditions. Our overnight stay was plagued with rain, snow and wet gear as we went with just a safari top on the jeep and no tarps. It was a miserable night but todays triumph was worth it! Enjoy some of the pictures taken on the journey!

The Granite bowl is a beautiful spot to take some pictures and have a snack after the gatekeeper. From here the trail only gets more beautiful and more challenging.

We set up camp in the pouring rain that night and all our gear was soaked.

Woke up in the morning greeted with a frosty and very moist Jeep. Started her up and used towels to dry the seats so we could hit the trail.

One thing they dont tell you when you make the leap to 35’s is how much easier they make things then 33’s. With the grip on these Yoko’s we made great progress throughout the day.

Even found parts of the Cadillac on Cadillac Hill, coincidentally this also was my favorite obstacle of the trail.

Heres one of the lakes on the way back to town from Cadillac hill, after that obstacle it is a grueling drive back to the staging area which takes a good while. All in it was a wonderful trip and one im unlikely to forget. From the views to the fun obstacles to the challenging night it was one hell of an adventure!
