What did you do to your TJ today?

I'm waiting on an Italian member to post some RICE. Then we have Rice a Roni.

I mounted UTV mirrors on my Rinocons' rock doors.. @Hog is my media specialist, maybe he can post a pic.

New rear extended sway bar links on.

Now I have another challenge...heelers , Buddy and Rosco .. still getting in it at night , cruising probably. Hair everywhere.

Little joker's go right over the rock doors, amazing athleticism for stubby little dogs.

@Hog has a video of Buddy climbing 7 feet up my garage wall grabbing a Frisbee and hanging on to it on the coach light.

I covered the front seats... They got in the back.

Trail cover is on it now.

Sway bar looks broken, likely the links. (hanging super low)

Good luck. Looking forward to hearing how it goes/went.
I went to look at it this morning because he never got back to me (address was on craigslist). As soon as I saw OHIO plates, I knew it was a no for me. Rust wasn't too bad, but the paint was peeling and no A/C. It's worth $4,000 obo, just not to me. I like to get my Jeeps looking great and sell them for a profit. Someone will snatch it up for $3500 cash.

Rubi flares 8 28 2020.jpg
After several car washes and tons of damn rain, I give the Meguiar's Ultimate black a thumbs up for the $7 I spent. Flares have a slight gloss like being repainted semi-gloss and mirror bases haven't faded back to the almost grey they were. Works much better on the interior that doesn't get wet everyday.

Finally got the second fender in! Now I just need to decide if I want to do wheel well painting and undercoating myself or just leave that to the body shop. Never painted anything as major as this so if anyone have any tips or walk through on how they would go about this and what products to use I would appreciate it!

Have them dust it underneath with some paint. It doesn't cost anymore, since they already charged you for the actual paint. You can undercoat it yourself afterwards. I had to have a fender painted on my 99' Sahara and the place I picked called Paint Perfections, lived up to their name. They matched my 18 year old paint perfectly.
It wasn't even one shade off.

p.s. For those wondering, those are 33x12.50" tires on stock wheels with no lift. I bought it that way for a discounted price.

my TJ is VERY RICE, but mostly cause that's the owners last name.

Mine will be here Monday. Same price, but different lights.

I'll be curious to see what you get and what you think of them. I'm not sold on the look of these with the chrome grill. And yes, it feels weird to say that, but I've kind of grown to like the shiny front end and the reflectors picking up the black divider definitely makes the lights stand out.

which ones did you get? I'm looking at upgrading mine soon.

I got these. Listing says limited quantity available. They're definitely bright, and cutoff seems like it will be fine when it's not 10' in the air. I only hope there's enough adjustment to get them down enough.

Also, side note, but you live in one of my favorite places in the world, I can't wait until it's not a crime to head back up there haha.

Yeah, we love it here, but it's been a weird place to be this summer.

Replaced the fan clutch due to overheating at idle. Still overheats at idle. Ran it in the driveway for 15 minutes and it got up to 232°. Start driving and it drops to 203-212°.

Man I've got a dog she needs to meet. Buddy lives for it. He lays them in my truck floorboard when I get in from work. It's crazy.

I was going to get him one of those things where the dog drops the ball in it and it shoots it out but I'm afraid he would kill himself.

Have you done a full chemical flush of the entire system? My XJ had issues from day one. I used Blue Devil and ran it for 8 total hours. You wouldn't believe the crap that came out. I had to do it twice.

Not familiar with Blue Devil though I just read a bit about it and will have to do that this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion. I was planning on a full flush, but without the chemical additive.

I don’t know about Blue Devil but Prestone Radiator Flush and Cleaner then Thermocure as suggested by MrBlaine seemed to clean mine up. Had to run water through several times following the thermocure
