    Project Pondhopper: Fishing Rig

Small update on the Jeep. I'm coming very close to my 4th year of owning and daily driving the Jeep. Recently, i've had to replace the Coolant Temp Sensor, and my Cooper Evolution M/T's are going to get their first 5,000 mile rotation and re-balance. A new front TB is going to be ordered...

    Outdoor Dog Kennel Build

Didn't gain much ground since the last post, and i have had a few ideas that have changed about how i want it to look and function. So a few tweaks to the framework are in order. After that i will be off to the races putting the metal roof on, pouring 2 inches of concrete, metal siding, and all...

Another of my newbie redundant posts—build Rubicon vs Sport?

I guess it all depends on what you're gonna use it for and what your definition of a mild build is, lol. Sounds to me like you have a pretty capable JK for all the fun difficult trail stuff. If you don't plan on hitting many trails in the TJ i'd run a sport platform on some 31's or 32's, a small...

    Engine squeal

mine had this issue After I did a thermostat replacement. I found out coolant/antifreeze isn’t good to get on the belt. Only made the noise when the A/c was turned on. I tightened and loosened the old belt and it never stopped, so I replaced the belt and haven’t heard it since.

    Outdoor Dog Kennel Build

This being my first time ever doing a project like this, and doing it alone, I think I’ve overbuilt this kennel, which isn’t a bad thing. I’ve gotten most of the framework complete, just need to do a few finishing touches, and finish the roof so I can put some metal on it.

    Outdoor Dog Kennel Build

Little by little during the week after work. Framed out the bottom and i am in the process of shoveling dirt to leavel out the floor in prep for 2 inches of concrete.

    Ford F150 longevity question

I know it's a completely different platform, but my stepfather ran a 99 with a 5.4 up to 400k miles on the original motor before he sold it about 5 years ago. I still see it around town driving. I've been in plenty of ford work trucks, new and old that had over 200k on them.

    Outdoor Dog Kennel Build

Well said. And yeah i'm hoping it turns out well. The next big project outside should be a 24x30 shop. I'll be setting posts for it as soon as this gets wrapped up.

    Outdoor Dog Kennel Build

I bought my first house when i was 22 back in late 2018. It sits on a nice unrestricted 3.86 acres, and i've been wanting to do an outdoor dog kennel for a while now, so today was the day i finally got around to setting the posts and tackling a small bit of framing. The Kennel sits at 8x16...

4x4 Shop or Regular Auto Repair Shop?

It’s always a hit or miss when someone else is working on your vehicle. I wouldn’t hesitate to have a normal trustworthy shop handle some simple stuff like that if they have some kind of warranty. these are all repairs that are pretty ”non Jeep specific” for lack of a better term. The RMS would...

    The day has finally come

Basf Refinishing makes the best materials money can buy IMO. Hopefully by the time we all get to the 2nd annual forum meet, we can put together a raffle for a good paintjob and we can donate the money somewhere that will benefit the TJ community.

    The day has finally come

By next year i'm hoping to have an at home paint booth, a legit professional booth (The starting point for my buisness) and i'd happily paint anyones TJ off the forum for half off whatever their local shop quotes them.

    Project Pondhopper: Fishing Rig

Yesterday i changed the oil for the first time since doing my RMS and oil pan gasket. It's still nice and dry with no leaks, so it's safe to say i didn't FUBAR it. Tomorrow i plan on ordering a couple of small parts that i think are going to clean up the look of my pretty weathered exterior...

    The day has finally come

I knew this day was coming. Long story short, i do all of the paint work at a custom golf cart shop. I smiled big as ever when i saw the build sheet this past week. Flame Red, which just so happens to be the same color as my TJ. What an absolutely beautiful color this is when it's fresh. Guess...

What do used hardtops go for?

Where did you get replacements? I need to order some for my hardtop!

What do used hardtops go for?

I'm in texas, and i can't remember a time where i've ever seen a decent TJ hardtop sell for less than 1000.

May Be Time for Rebuild or Swap

It's a big decision to say the least. I'm pretty back and forth as well. I DD my jeep and would hate to have it sit for the time it would take me to fund a proper LS swap, but once it's done, i know i would love it. It all depends on the timing i suppose.

May Be Time for Rebuild or Swap

My 4.0 is at 232k miles and its starting to sound more and more like that everyday when it starts up.
