So, why are so many opposed to putting a high lift jack on the hood? Seems like it puts a fairly heavy item between the axels, keeps it out of the dirt, and fairly easy to access. What am I missing?

I think I once saw a non-metallic wrench for removing the nuts that hold the door pins in place. I’d like to remove my doors from time to time and it seems that a normal wrench would destroy the paint. Can no longer find the non-metallic wrench. How do others handle this. TIA Philip

Does the TJ need it’s rear sway bar. Chucked the one on my Xterra but it is a leaf spring vehicle with a longer wheelbase. Would freeway speed handling be too compromised on a TJ? Thanks Philip

My Jeep is a 2004 Sahara. It came carpeted. This time of year they're almost always wet. My inclination is to remove them and get removable rubber mats instead. Is there a reason this is a bad idea? TIA
