    What size seat riser?

We haven't had any problems with the seat and the steering wheel . I do have the seat pushed all the way back and leaned back some:) .

    What size seat riser?

I'm 6'2" and built 2" risers out of aluminum square tubing . I've been running them for over 10 years and love the visibility it gives us .

    Midland GXT67Pro handheld GMRS?

I don't have the Midland , but handheld radios are great for close range communication . I carry a few extras to loan out when trail riding or camping .

Are 33's bad for 3.07 gears?

Your Jeep will love the 4.88 gears with 33 inch tires . If anything it should improve fuel mileage . It will magnify any driveline vibrations because the driveshafts will be spinning much faster . I replaced both driveshafts with new Tom Woods shafts to get rid of the majority of vibrations ...

From a CJ to a TJ southern Indiana

Welcome . I've had a few Cj's many years ago . I sold my last one because driving it was causing severe back pain . The coil springs in our LJ is much easier on my back and I can trail ride all day . :)

Anyone use these on your TJ?

I tried a set like those in 2013 . It wasn't long before the individual led's started going out one by one . I found a surface mount set that I've been running for ten years now . I didn't know about the Set from Mr Blaine.

    Highway vibration after re-gear

After regearing ours my worst vibration was the front driveshaft . Took it out , drove and it was mostly smooth . I installed new Tom Woods driveshafts front and rear and that fixed my severe vibration . I do have a slight vibration when revving up in park and neutral that I can also feel when...

    I am glad I own a TJ

We feel so blessed to have completely climbed out of debt several years ago . Hopefully we will never have another loan for anything . I intend to drive our 2004 LJ and 1986 F150 from now on . The 1993 30ft diesel pusher motorhome we'll keep until it gets too expensive to enjoy it . It takes...

    Gear ratio sorry

I went with 4.88 gears with the 33 inch tires . The throttle is much more responsive and pulls hills much better than it did with 3.73 gears and 30 inch tires . It's not apples to apples because we have the 42rle automatic . What I did discover after the gear change was that with the driveshafts...

To lift or not to lift?

Personally , if I wanted a manual transmission I would buy one with a manual rather than swap it over unless I just wanted a project . I've done it a few times on trucks , but now I guess I'm getting lazy :)

To lift or not to lift?

I did some really nice trails with 30 inch tires on our Lj and our Xj . Recently I decided to go to 33 inch tires and now I'm topping $7000 getting it where it is now . I did change some of the parts because they were original and they were going to be off so I replaced them with quality parts ...

GMRS = is there a standard hailing frequency?

When traveling, I monitor 146.520 on 2 meter . I'm also on 40 meters while traveling in the motorhome . 40 meters works well mobile . At home we use 75 meters between 7 and 9 am .

    TJs in beautiful places

We went for a drive in the Ouachita National Forest Thursday . Stopped at one of our favorite spots for a picnic . This is close to the Albert Pike recreational area near Langley Arkansas . We call it Fishtopia due to the amount of small fish living there . You can sit on the rocks and watch them .

    CB radio locations

I removed the passenger airbag . We use magnets for mic holders . The hole around the Ham/GMRS is a little big because it was for an older radio before upgrading to the smaller dual band unit . The Wilson Sleek phone cradles are now obsolete , so I found the Phone Buddies to hold on to our...
