Finally decided to tackle the RMS Job, paired with a new oil pan and gasket

Drove it for a couple hundred miles without any leaks so I put on my Savvy engine skid

Just need a new gas tank skid and my under armor will be complete

Not at the moment. I had JKS links with my 2” lift, but instead of buying new links for the 4” i’m just gonna pick up a swayloc soon

Good call, I love my swayloc. I don't think I'd be comfortable driving without a bar though, seems like it would feel pretty floppy.

It does have significantly more body roll, but once you get used to it it's not so bad. Swayloc will be the next mod for sure

FB Marketplace find of the year so far, all thanks to @PNW_LJ for sending me the listing almost as soon as it was posted!

Some Savvy sliders and corner armor, got everything for 300$ with no issues except a scrape/bend on one of the corners that I think I can straighten out. (Can sort of see it in the photo)

Slowly making progress on the HP30, was away for the month of december visiting family back in NZ

But got to work after coming back, so far have got it stripped down

And got the CA brackets removed and ready for iron rock mounts, hoping to get the raised swaybar brackets tacked this week and then get everything welded in

Congrats dude! I was so happy you got it, basically stole that armor for 300 (and who knows when savvy will come back in stock).

Can't wait till you get that armor and HP30 installed, so that there's no more excuses for skipping Reiter!

How hard up for cash do you need to be to sell that armor for 300!
Damn what a grab.

Not sure the guy knew what he had, apparently his wife rolled his TJ in the snow storm a couple weeks ago

The listing was for selling the TJ whole, but he quickly agreed to selling me just the armor for 400, and once I got there and saw the bend in the corner armor he was happy to do 300

Now to decide which shafts to buy for it..

Spent the weekend getting halfway through the savvy armor install..

Took a while but eventually got a good door sill gap while keeping it tight everywhere else

Cleaned up the armor with an orbital sander followed by scotchbrite and some cleaner

Luckily everything seemed to line back up!

Mounted the fender flares just with the current holes in the armor before I decide to drill through the armor itself

Finished up the rest of the armor install this sunny weekend..
I expected this side to be a bit more time consuming given that my rocker panel on that side was out of shape and the corner armor had this in it:

I was able to get it straightened out pretty well, and given the price I got the armor for it is not a big deal

Started with the sliders

Then onto the corner

Overall came out pretty well, the damage to the corner is not too noticeable

Happy with how the rig is sitting currently, just need to get that HP in!

(Also traded my tan hardtop for a black one)
