I firmly believe that the trails you run dictate how you should build your rig. I also like to design a build around how the TJ should have come from the factory. The JK’s did correct some of these things, such as the flatter belly and semi-hiline.

I just got back from a wheelin trip with North Idaho Trail Blazers. If there’s anyone around here working with BLM and landowners it’s these guys. They are blazing trails. They’re also very helpful and just a great group of guys. I’ve wheeled with them before, but this last trip was just 7 rigs, so I was able to get to know them. I was the little guy. 33’s wasn’t in anyone’s mind, and they warned, 35’s and lockers minimum, expect body damage. There was one TJ on 35’s, 2 on 37’s, one on 39’s, an LJ on 37’s, and a CJ on 42’s.

They weren’t lying. The Jeep is telling me it needs BIGger tires

Are you going to fuck around with a 4 inch lift or just go full retard with mid arms?

I’d link to the FB video so you could see the vertical elevation on the Waterfall, but it’s almost straight up, and a friend of mine literally stood on his ass end on the spare staring straight up. He’s on 37’s TJR. I’m also trying to get the video processed and on UTube, but having issues. I suffered loss.

Here’s the Vid. One TJ on 37’s had to get winched up. My attempt was not too shabby For 33’s, excepting the fender flop. I doubt anyone has completed it on 33’s. I am sitting on top, but precariously. I called for line.

At the end of this trail there USED to be a narrow road up to a ridge and you’re out. Recently BLM came in and graded it, illegally. This is private property. Didn’t stop the North Idaho Trailblazers. They truly did blaze this trail. No way, not me. It was insane with a total loss risk to reward penalty. Totally off camber, crab climb, big drop and total loss on your passenger side.
